I didnt want to spend the money on a factory Nav. unit so i got the Pioneer AVIC-N2 touch screen, DVD/MP3/Nav. I also replaced the factory front speaker w/ Rainbow SLC 265 2 way 6.5" component set. Running everything is a Memphis 5 ch. Memphis Bell. I am also putting a 7" screen in the back fold down compartment and a 7" screen in the back of each headrest, yes even the back seat headrest's.

yes even the back seat headrest's.

:beating: you're crazy, just wasting money IMO.

but everything else sounds pretty cool.

i can post pictures as soon as my sister brings me back my camera, right now i have a dumb dash kit in it. Soon to be replaced w/ the factory style din size kit when we put the siruius. im not a big fan of touch screen b/c who really wants to put finger prints all over something that they are looking at, so i bought the remote to go w/ it. Also this is the new Pioneer, it has a sensor in it so when you start to move (around 15 mph) the screen will turn off when watching a movie, but the sound will still be there. Nav. screen stays on at all times. Other then that I love it.

Can it not be by-pass?

we have tried to bypass it and this one is not possible, all the new model coming out form all the big name brands are starting to do this.

Had the same problem with my DVD player, except that I had to apply the parking brakes to watch a movie in the front, so after thinking and thinking I grounded the parking brake wire, so it would be continuously getting fed. Now I can do 150MPH and that bad boy will still show my movies.
What kind of wire it uses to tell when to show a movie? Mine like I've said, had a parking brake wire, so I connected it to the chassis and grounded it.

What kind of sensor? Is it inside the unit, or it's a wire? There are always ways to block it. Let me know and maybe I can point you to the right direction

there's a supposed way to bypass by dropping solder inside the main deck. it's on the car audio message boards.

did you get the N2 for a good price? I've been looking out for a deal.

its some sort of giro in side the deck that can tell when there is movement. there is also a parking brake wire too, thats what allows you to see it at all going down the road. im not going to drop solder in my deck. then you lose the warrenty. i dont need to watch a movie going down the road. i mean hell how safe is that.

ground the wire for the parking brake, and the gyro, can you remove it?

for the N1 you can ground the parking brake. but the N2 needs that solder trick. some ebay guys are trying to charge $200 for that.

It's so stupid that they make a dash screen, but you can't watch it while driving, what's the purpose? If I'm going to park the car to watch a DVD I rather watch it at home sitting in my comfy couch.

Hey I to have a Pioneer Nav system. Just wondering if they hooked up your speed pulse. They didnt hook mine up, just told me it would learn tire size and be able to judge distance. It looks like it did learn but still seems to be a little off on the position (about 50 yards or so I think). I know it doesnt sound like much, but it can make finding a street difficult because by the time the nav shows you at the intersection, your already through it. System is a Pioneer AVD-W6210 with a standalone 6.5 inch monitor
