wassup supaflip...welcome to CT

There is a streetbeats customs lowering kit available 2/4 drop, But it has mixed reviews. Some people have dropped their rear ends with custom made rear shackles about 1 1/2" drop. and others de-arched the rear leaf.

Most are waiting for another manufacture to come out with something.

Waddup issac how u doing brah...long time no see, how was the truck cruz?

Oh yah...another option would be to "BAG" the truck

I don't think there is a kit out for this truck so it would have to be a custom set up. WHICH would be some big $$$$$$.

You would have to lose your spare tire or lose the function of your bed.

Ummm...thants a no way for me, i just want it lowered a bit not slammed, though getting it bagged would bre the sh!t. i want my truck to be functional also my friends have toyota trucks bagged and they have some problem quirks and they say it comes with the teritory like hydrolics...i need to just lower it by like 2/4 like the streetbeat drop but damn 800 bucks sounds too much considering the shipping then the install...keep me posted....by the way know anyone who has a titan droped on oahu??

Can't do anything until a kit is available. It's not that bad actually. I haven't noticed any premature wear. Camber is at -1.4 degrees.

Most of the shops that I have been going to for years, don't recommend doing it(they cringed when i brought it up) 8O

Those particular shops are probably thinking of torched leafs. Not anyone can do this. They must have the equipment for it. The shops that do this are ones that manufacture or modify leafsprings. In no way is the leaf compromised. If you have a spring in good shape it can be re-arched or de-arched w/out any problems.

I got mine done by this company: http://www.nationalsprings.com/

m95....US "Hawaii" people have limited resources when it comes to specialized services. :( Most likely we have to ship the product out and back, which can get very costly.

For starters: Did you de-arch your stock leafs or the streetbeat customz leafs?

For your front end drop, is that the streetbeats custom kit? Do you have a problem with bottoming?

I notice the website you posted is underconstruction do they have the specs for your leaf de-arching on file? Depending on the cost for the leaf/de-arching I might be interested in having them do the work possibly making a kit for our truck?

Your opinions and help is greatly appreciated.

Whodat,

I understand the availability part. You might want to check out spring manufacturers for diesels and tractors in your area. They do this stuff as well.

I de-arched the factory leafs. I do not have any of the SB pieces on my truck. Leafsprings can be de-arched to any height you wish. I went with 2.5".

The front springs are custom wound units. I originally cut (1) coil off the factory coil spring which rode just like stock. These custom ones are stiffer. I swapped out the front bumpstops with smaller ones and I have not experienced any bottoming with either set up.

haha i guess waiting for reputable manufactures to come up with something aftermarket is out of your question. IF SO you would be like me....STILL WAITING....... :roflmao:

When it comes to customizing suspensions like cutting springs, i'm a little on the wary side. That coupled with lack dependable/specialized mod shops i have few options.

If no companies come out with a good lowering kit I may have to go your route.

I may need your more info later on...thanks again m95

did any one trying droppin' the rear with blocks??
is it possible or is there something different about the rear end from other trucks that i'm missing here???

ok i talked to a friend who has experience on lowering trucks and he said there should be no problem with lowering the rear with blocks.....is this true and if so what are the draw backs. he mentioned something about clearance right where the blocks are at but then its rare that you will bottom out on anything. basicly its just placing the blocks the opisite from lifting for hight....any takes?

ahhhh....i got why its not possible ......the titans leaf springs are located on the top not the bottom of the axle which will need a flip kit so there you go i answered my oun question, the worst part is i got the info while surfing the web...DUH!
