It would be nice to have a 1:24 scale metal body with opening hood to display the engine.

Well, it's kinda hard to explain...........

Started out as a Traxxas Rustler Stadium Truck, then I changed it over to the Stampede (wanted more ride height), THEN......went all out and rebuilt the front end and added a second motor and transmission......it has two 17X2 turn motors, 4 wheel drive, and LOADS of suspension.

I'll try to get some pictures up for you.....

nice truck man. My rc10gt has a new .15 motor instead of the stock .12 motor, redline is in the 35,000rpm range at 3/4 of a HP. also added better carb, pipe, and 20% nitro methane. put some vet lookin tires on it and can leave posi burn outs about 50feet long. it does 65 mph on street, one time I lost control of it and it hit the back of my heal and put 9 stitches in my heel through my shoe.
it is wicked fast
both our rc trucks would look better as titans though :D

OK, here is a post slightly off topic to the original, in the off topic section!

I am 46 years old, and only recently met my biological father. Have only seen him once face to face for a short time, but have had numerous phone conversations. I don't know much about him, but I do know he is living a very modest lifestyle, with numerous health problems. In our conversations I learned that he really enjoys his small collection of diecast cars in 1/24 scale. In separate conversation we talked about our first cars. His was a 1948 Chevy Aerosedan Fleetline. I decided I was going to get him something small for a "First Christmas" present from his son this year. I didn't want to go overboard, as there are some issues I still have a problem with so far as how things were handled in the past, but am trying to let him in to his only sons life to a point. Check out what I just bought on Ebay!

To me, it is the perfect gift, nothing overstated, something he will enjoy, something he can look at knowing it came from his "son".
