There are three threads that my posts seem to have been deleted from. Is the moderation here that heavy?

Moderation here is pretty light....did you say anything offensive in these threads?

I would say that it all depends on what you said (although I can't really speak for the moderators). As far as I know, my posts have never been moderated (that's some 350 to date).

Please don't take this as being patronizing: if you already know this or think I'm being patronizing, I apologize. CT is a community that has a lot of respect for its members - new and old. We'll joke around and have a good time, but only when doing as such is clearly joking (as in, both the joker and jokee are in on the joke). There's usually a pretty clear line when someone is pushing that envelope - it usually means someone is poking a jab at another party he/she doesn't know too well. My guess is that since you are relatively new to CT, something you might have said was moderated b/c the context was unclear to the moderator. I'm purely guessing.

The bottom line is if you don't know the person you're responding to, keep it cordial and respectful (i.e. don't make any offcolor remarks/putdowns etc.). Bullies/wise-guys and otherwise probably won't be tolerated if their jibes/posts are unwanted or unknown (it's the difference between a friend of mine calling me a "b-stard" and such being funny vs. a random guy on the street calling me a "b-stard" and such causing trouble). Didn't mean to preach and sorry if I did.

Maybe they were moved to a different location.
At the forum home page click on the View Your Posts link. At the top right.

The more you post, the more visible the line becomes. Have fun and enjoy. We've all come close or over the line once or twice.
Not saying that's the reason, but if so you're still allowed on the site, so it must not have been that bad.

Unless its really bad we dont mess with peoples posts. Most people know the point to which they can take posts. We pretty much are willing to talk to anyone about anything until things get rude or vulgar. I cant remember anything you ever posted being removed or edited. I would bet something may have been moved to the proper section of the forum. thats just a guess though.

None of my posts have been bad. I usually work well with online forums. I was a moderator for IGN/VNBoards for a long time and they had 500,000+ users while I was there and I have 8,000+ posts without moderation! :)

I will review my listing of posts and figure out whats going on. Maybe I'm losing my mind :o

okay silly question maybe, but are you sure you are hitting submit. and then it takes you to the submitted screen, and then to the post as published. If you are not doing that, you are not posting. I know silly, but sillier things have happened around here.

After reviewing my listing of posts it seems that I was experiencing temporary loss of balance caused by some sort of bandwidth restriction, server malfuncation, RAID array synchronization issue, or possibly some other form of data loss caused by transfering post data without the proper checksum data or verification of proper checksum data.

If you believe that, well, I have a bag of air to sell you 8O
