I have the S-series in the front and the back. I think there is something wrong with the driver side front. How can you tell if your speaker is blown or if you just have too much power coming to it thru your amp?

It makes a kinda "poppy" sound when some bass tones hit it. It sounded weird from the start, but the intstallation guy thought maybe something wasn't tight, he adjusted something and it sounded better, but still not right.

I'm thinking about taking it back there today and swapping them all out for JL Audios considering that is what the amps and sub is...

You didn't have the speakers installed in foam baffles did you?

Not that I'm aware of.... Don't even know what those are....

Just checking. Don't ever use foam baffles on door speaker installs. Since you don't know what they are, just keep it that way! ;-)
