I'm sure I can help out if you can't get a hold of him for a group buy. But, the last time I checked, there is no way to verify which ones have the new lid or don't. It's the same part #, and I would ship these straight from the warehouse.

Again, I hope they make some way to tell the difference by a new part #.

I'm still debating the AEM vs AFE vs Volant. The AEM has the dry filter. The AFE's filter is way bigger than the Volant, but that cover looks unfinished. The Volant is the best sealed from hot engine air and looks the best. I'd like to know which makes the best power in the low end. I'm thinking the AFE with the silencer box may have the edge.

This is way too large of a group to tease with a good deal on a product, and then not deliver (The August GB) and your customer service skills are way below par (not returning PM's, phones and computer not working). You have lost countless customers to AEM and AFE over the past three months, and given Volant a bad name. Next time I would highly recommend having the product in stock, or at least making sure the manufacturer is shipping them before you get the group all stoked for a GB.

Just got my Intake today and installed it after work. I’m VERY unsatisfied with the third attempt from Volant. I feel that I have the same problems other members had w/ the first two versions. When I get on it and on the freeway at 2500-3000 rpms my dash rattles. The instructions are the worst i've seen. I installed the mat and the cap on the box and no help. The screws supplied for the MAF sensor did not work at all the OEM ones worked perfectly.

I can go on and on. I will call Volant, and Tony, tomorrow about getting my money back; if not I will sell it for cheap.

I WAITED FOR A MONTH FOR THIS AND I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN OTHER MEMBERS ADVISE AND GONE W/ AEM OR AFE.

Check the dino results on the dry flow before buying they show a noticable drop in the low rmps compared to stock. There is also a cool video on how to clean the filter.

I believe the sparkplug discount code still works.

***** Everyone who got the gen 3 volant the website is being updated w/ better instructions. If installing make sure to use your OEM screws to mount the MAF sensor, the ones supplied didnt work on my kit.

* And mount the foam pad to the fender not the box make sure to make the needed holes for the bolt and the stock mount which this new kit reuses.

This should make things alot easier IF NOT JUST wait for the new instructions unless your like me and just went for it with the instructions supplied.

New to the forum, Jus wondering if this deal is still going on? And if it is, since I know the AEM fits on a QX56, does the Volant fit??? Sorry if it sounds like a newbie question... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
