does anyone on this site have a tattoo(s) that they could post pics of, im lookin to get one soon but my mind is wandering and i havent found any good ones yet.

I've got a couple. The one on my shoulder blade (apache helicopter), I got about 12 years ago. The one on my shoulder (American Eagle), I got on the Sunday prior to that infamous Tuesday......9/11/01. Kinda hard to "forget".

I've got one on my ankle it's a butterfly but I think it might be a little to girlie for you. :D

Ive been planning on one for years but haven't gotten around to getting it yet. One reason is the money. Its gonna cost me for what I want. Full back and accross the shoulders down the side of arms to above the elbow.

ive think ive decided on an eagle (much like the one on the quarter) with the head facing you, and a scroll in its feet and either on the feathers or on the scroll it says "live strong" in latin

3 tats here. A gecko on my left lower back, a green "J" (for Jessica) on my left shoulder blade, and a custom designed piece on my right arm. It's hard to describe, it's kind of Celtic but not quite.

A tiger on my right shoulder and a snake on my left. My first son was born on the year of the tiger and second son was born on the year of the snake. My kids are my life. I never tatoo any other (include my wife) on my body.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend tattooing another person's name or anything unless it's your kids or something like that. I know 2 or 3 people who have gotten their boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband's name tattooed and then regretted it.

im 17 so no wife, and no gfs name, i was thinkin in the feathers of the eagle, i would put my brother jarreds initials, he died at the age of 16, and i figure that i will get his initials small in the feathers.

I don't believe in tattoos, but I do have a lot of scars. Scars are a lot like tattoos, only scars have better stories. :lol:

Just messing with you guys, well not about the scars. I've just never had anything that I felt strong enough about to have it permanantly inked on my body, I've always thought about it though.

well im gettin an eagle, which is a bird that flys/ lives alone, just like me got everything i have by myself, and the eagle is holding a scroll that says "live strong die strong" in latin, which says basically that no matter what live throws at you be strong and dont be afraid of death it is only a part of life.

Just remember, the tattoo is FOR LIFE! I've never regretted eitehr of mine and will probably get another at some point. My wife went with me when I got my last and she got one around her ankle.

Panther with wings on my right forearm, hawk flying over water on my left forearm, rose wrapped with a ribbon with my 2 kid's names over my heart. Only regret is the location on the arms. Get it somewhere that is more easily hidden if necessary. It is "forever", so be very sure you want to get one.

Here are mine.
Wasn't til I turned 32 before I got my 'sword' (left arm), then at 34 I got my 'space cadet' (right arm).
I've got two more in the design phase (they're Completely Original).

I have a couple, I have my old truck doing a burn out on my leg, a skull with headders on my arm, nhra approved on my arm, a skull with dead tree on arm, evil skull type head with bionic snakes for hair, evil demon on my arm, grim reaper with two guns aimed at ya on arm, skull in bed of eyes, and a 'cuda pulling wheelie on fire (from a picture of an old drag race), and a pistion that at top of pistion turns into face on fire..so pretty much my arms are coverd good, very little skin left....on a funny note though, my ex-wife has my name tattooed on her back..(we got hitched in vegas)....if she was dumb enough to do that, you can understand why she is my ex too!

drmstlr66 I like the ones from Angels and Demons. I plan on getting the full Illuminate Diamond though. Other than that just 3 for now. A bicycle chain around an ankle, a wolf paw print on a leg, and a four leaf clover w/ flames around it. Now I have luck covering my *** in a fire. Strikethebox.com has some awesome fire and EMS related tattoos for those in those professions like me.

I have 3 (no pictures though). One on my left arm, one on my right arm and one on my chest (all dragons).

Going to get two more: my 9 year old's name on my left shoulder blade (Dalton) and my overdue son's (my wife is being induced on monday) name on my right shoulder (Xander).

When I get them done, I'll try to get my buddy to digicam them all and I'll post them if possible.

Alright here goes ... 1st pic is a portrait of my son who was 2 2nd pic is a chest piece of the mayan symbol of spring, for my birthday. 3rd piece is 3 pieces. The upper torso is my wife, midsection is from a painting and the tail is off of a Guy Harvey shirt. The background falls on a treasure map with a pirate ship on my underarm. That one hurt.

My tattoo is three fold. I got the first line before I went to basic. The second line I got after I graduated college. The third line I will get when I graduate from Pilot Training (USAF). I commission in the AF in october and I will get one done on my left rib cage.

My back piece says:

I have promises to keep...
and many miles to go before i sleep
and many miles to go before i sleep (after pilot training)

October 1st: (left rib cage at my heart)

Protect my family
Defend my country

I will get some pictures posted soon. The back piece looks like writing from a childrens book, and the rib cage will look like writing from the constitution.

One on my left arm, wire coming out of the skin dripping "blue blood". Getting another possibly on the back of the neck some sort of tribute to a fallen officer friend, and one last one of my kids initials "M&M.....born on St. Pattys Day so I am thinking of the M&M character with the irish back drop.....but who knows! I got the tat on my back when I decided to take over my life. Too many bad things in a row will get you down. I snapped back and the firey sun on my back must rise everyday. This pic is about a year old.

My next tat will be a tribute to my service in the Navy during Desert Storm.

I have two...one from playing football...bull dog and my number 77 on my left arm and a tribal band all the way around my right arm.

Ta2me, the worst for me was as it came around the sides. It was 2 sittings a month apart. It still was sore for the second sitting. Total time was about 7 hrs. Have no idea about the center yet.

One on my right shoulder. The word Forgiven located just above it. The Spikes that make the crucifix are a blueish gray, the rose is vibrant red, we added a 3rd leave (very realistic green) and I have my wifes name on the top leaf, my oldestest daughters name on the 2nd, and my little princess on the 3rd.

Interesting reading this thread. There seem to be many reasons people got them and just for show doesn't seem to be one of them.

I personally have none and no intentions of getting any. Piercings, I don't understand at all. Particularily facial ones. Ears are sorta customary, though the fad in recent years to get a dozen or more per ear strikes me as excessive.

You all enjoy your art, its just not for me.

LOL .. More than you could ever imagine !! With sound nutrition, cardio and utilizing the proper equipment and weights I could radically change the pectorial region of a mans body.

I suppose it does sound weird though ... the way I worded it (lol). Sometimes I speak b4 thinking how my words can be taken in a different way.

I got a tribal dragon on my right shoulder with my last name entwined in it. Covers the whole shoulder. Gonna get a sleeve on my left arm once ive completed my sketch.

I have 2 of em' on my right shoulder... I have a Cross, and under the Cross I have Psalams 23 (which of course is the Lord's Prayer). Sorry, no pictures...
