I didn't want it at the time of purchase, but I would like to have one now. Anybody know where I could get a OEM or somewhat like OEM hitch for fairly cheap or (this is a stupid question,) anybody like to part with theirs if the price is right?

Yes OEM would be nice, but OEM is a little too much, can't quite afford that much. I'm on a budget.

Your talking $40.00 difference. You will have holes matching up with OEM, what will you spend for your relays, and wiring conecter that does not come with aftermarket hitches, plus a much stronger hitch that is going to add to resale value? I would think about it, you may find its a $40.00 well spent!

eBay has some 3500 lb rated Class III hitchs for $85 with buy it now. Not real beefy, but suitable for most Uhaul jobs.

Search Nissan Titan and you should find them.

I bought my aftermarket hitch (Curt) for $105 before taxes. It was a 15 minute install (6 bolts). I had to buy the relays (got them for $35)(5 seconds to install) from the dealer for my trailer lights. Also had to buy the wiring harness ($16)(4 Pin) 15 seconds to install. It is a CL III hitch designed for 5000 lbs. It is more than enough for the towing that I do ( a party barge and a bass boat). I saved as much as I spent by not buying OEM. E-mail me and I can give the place that I bought the hitch from.

You saved...35 bucks and installed it yourself. You lost the larger towing compacity, and you had to install it yourself. Personally I would have gotten the OEM just for 35 bucks more.

I bought my class 3 hitch from Uhaul for 120.00 installed. The dealer wanted 400.00 for an OEM hitch.

Wow, that dealer wanted to rip you off. They aren't that much. $190~

Tx- how do your figure that I only saved $35? OEM was $300 + tax. (Even if I figure your $190 that's still about $85 saved(when tax is included). Plus if I had it installed at the dealer, you need to figure in the shop time that would have been charged. Plus the fact that it was only 6 bolts - real hard to think about having to pay $60+ of labor for something that I did myself. Since my SE didn't come with the tow package ($900 for an additional gauge, a CL IV hitch and different gears), plus the fact that they didn't have one in the area, I figure that I'm happy with my purchase. None of my boats exceed 5000 lbs, if they did, they'd be parked at the lake. Also, I don't mind using with my shop tools.

I bought the OEM Hitch with relays for about $225.00 Including Tax? Installed it myself in a nominal amount of time.

Called the dealer down here. They wanted $230 for the hitch and $80 for the relays. Called the place where I got my tool box. $221.00 for Class 4 and that includes everything. Wiring, and installation. Sounds like a good deal to me.

What dealer did you call? Nissan? The hitch and relays come in one box, so all that should be included in the $230. Be careful from the place you got your tool box, you will still need the relays from Nissan, and that is $30-40
