i got 2-subs installed this weekend, and after that, my airbag light keep blinking (supposedly when the airbag light blinks, the airbag might not work). the person who installed it said that he didn't mess with the airbag wires at all (which i believe, he is a friend of my boyfriend). he said that it may be something that has to do with re-setting something after re-hooking up the battery. does anyone know how to fix this? i've called the dealership and it's gonna cost $96.50 for them to do it. i'm trying to avoid that. thanks for any help!

Your installer must have tested the stereo before reinstalling the dash. That will cause the light to blink. Just go here (http://clubtitan.org/postt1445.html) for the airbag light reset procedure.

I had the same thing happen. Installed the dvd system and a day or so later I noticed the Air Bag light was blinking. Called the dealer cause the truck was only 5 days old and they said bring it in. Took it in and they told me I had a bad relay and they would order it and call me when it comes in...in about 3-5 days...that was 1 1/2 months ago. But what ever they did during the diagnosis process turned off the blink.

Hasn't come on since and they checked it for free under warranty. DO NOT TELL THEM ABOUT THE STEREO INSTALL. That will make you have to pay for the diag. Just tell them the light started to flash.

Try that.

i just had this problem after sterio install.took it to my dealer and they told me it was because the airbag plugs under the seats were unpluged/pluged in with the ignition on. all they had to do is reset the warning light. :learn:
