: Planning a Big Northeast Meet for Next Year
RITitan 10-23-2005, 08:26 PM I posted this over on TT b/c there seemed to be more northeast traffic on there for some reason.

If people prefer I can also start the same poll over on here.
Note: could a mod please make this sticky? Thanks
NKTITAN711 10-23-2005, 10:03 PM Planning these are not easy. The one I headed was successful, but only b/c of the people that commited. We all discussed ideas, and I picked a date. I then picked a venue, and a time. Folks signed up, and it was GREAT! I have read of meets where only 4 or 5 trucks showed up, and that's NO GOOD! I know that Jerseyparts is going to have a meet for us next year at his store in Turnersville. IT's going to be BIG, with all access to lifts, ramps, a driving track...and much much more! Good luck organizing! If it's not too far away, I'm sure some of us southern Titans will be enroute!
docopharm 10-23-2005, 10:12 PM Yeah, depending on when and where it is, I may be up for a little drive. It's been a long time since I've headed any futher North than just VA.
firecracker 10-23-2005, 10:40 PM I'll make it a STICKY for you, but let's not let it go toooo long, LOL
Chief 10-23-2005, 11:49 PM I have read of meets where only 4 or 5 trucks showed up, and that's NO GOOD!
Nothing against a nice big meet NK, the more the merrier, but we had a meet with only 4 trucks and 6-7 guys, and it was a great time. We all knew what to expect numbers-wise and it worked out nicely. Might not be for everyone, but we'd all do it again if we could.
One suggestion I have is camping close by. I'll be keeping an eye on this and will do what I can guys!!! :D :D :D
Chief
NKTITAN711 10-23-2005, 11:54 PM I have no doubt Chief! I'm such a Titan crack-head...seeing 4 trucks is plenty for me! I just didn't want him to be dissapointed. Camping would be great!

:D To be honest NK, I initially was hoping for more, but that's just the way it worked out so we went with it. I agree with you that hopefully with some advanced planning it could be a real blowout!!!!
:D
I'm not sure how the camping option would go over, but at our meet it was pretty much the main attraction (along with some offroading). It would be a plus for me, especially after a long drive. Sleeping in the 'Bed' works fine for me :?
Chief
NKTITAN711 10-24-2005, 12:19 AM I'm down. I love to camp/hike/trek/climb...whatever! It's going to be COLLLD up there, no matter when we go. Is there somewhere in between that we could all go? Perhaps W. VA or somewhere like that. I know that me, Doc, perhaps Kronos, and I'm sure a few more would be down for an outdoor adventure. Toss some ideas around!
Chief 10-24-2005, 12:26 AM Now Your Talkin!!!!!!
W. Va, I've only been through in an 18 wheeler but it looked like some awesome country. I'd do it in a second. Not sure if that's close enough for 'New England' :D
RITitan 10-24-2005, 09:22 AM I was also thinking of maybe something near Foxwoods Casino in Ct. I know there are campgrounds near there, and we could have some casino fun.

I like camping as much as the next guy, but CT.....in winter...ummm, I think I'd be staying in one of the Foxwood's suites:

Who said anything about doing this in winter...I was looking to plan this for next spring...get a head start on it now.
docopharm 10-24-2005, 09:43 AM ohhhhh, I was thinking it was gonna be this winter. That may be different then. :D
NKTITAN711 10-24-2005, 10:35 AM Spring huh? Well, I'm SURE this would give people plenty of time to plan and save! You thinking April?
RITitan 10-24-2005, 06:10 PM Spring huh? Well, I'm SURE this would give people plenty of time to plan and save! You thinking April?
April is not a bad idea...I guess we can see what is good for everyone...even May is not bad.
Chief 10-24-2005, 10:55 PM Sounds like a great time to have it. I think the last one I was at was end April. We were sleeping out in the open, no tents for some.
It was chilly, but with a few pieces of simple equipment I stayed really warm and slept well. Surprisingly after one cold night IN the truck, I was comfortable sleeping in the bed on the second night. I just had to prepare a little.
The Zone was a few miles from RT 80, which splits North and South Pa almost perfectly.
The idea of planning now is a GREAT idea. Like NK said, plenty of time to plan for those that intend on going. They will set the weekend aside. Also get more people pumped. Sounds like the start of a real winner wherever it's held RI!!!
Chief
I live in mass love to plan a april or may stay at foxwoods, place to spend my lift kit money, Keep me posted!!!!

Our last meet only had 4 truck show was still fun and the one before that the was only 3. Here's some pics of the Big MA meet.
Foxwoods sounds cool! Definitely have to get a baby sitter for that one.

Peluche 10-25-2005, 03:57 PM Imagine that....Silver is the winning color...AGAIN!!!
But black is elegant...
Chief 10-25-2005, 08:04 PM Looks Like Good Times!!!!!!!!!!!!
NKTITAN711 10-26-2005, 06:13 AM Yes, black is. My first Titan was Galaxy. I LOVED the color, but hated it too. It was like having a high maintenance woman! (unlike any female members here...just covering my a**)
jerseyparts 10-26-2005, 11:28 AM In repsonse to this I am planning a huge NISSAN Meet for later next year, I am hoping this will be the Meet of the Year, I will have a special section JUST for Titans and armadas, and we will have access to our service dept, and to our test track.
we Have a camp ground nearby it is called Hospitality Creek, and is a real nice campground, I am going to contact them about getting specila prices, as well as some nearby Hotels. my dealer will supply the food, and some goodies, and we are getting vendors to come down and do demonstrations as well as New products.
I will get you guys more info after we have it all set here, but this will be in South Jersey,
and will be a GREAT day!
NKTITAN711 10-26-2005, 02:34 PM It will be a great WEEKEND!!!
docopharm 10-26-2005, 02:36 PM It will be a great WEEKEND!!!

I have to agree with that... you can see every little bit of dirt on black. It's hard to keep it clean. After washing it, it prolly lasts about 6 hours before dust starts accumulating on the truck.
Chief 10-26-2005, 07:50 PM It will be a great WEEKEND!!!
I second!!!!
msp2928 10-26-2005, 11:54 PM Sounds like a plan!!! I was hoping that one of these would make its way into New England!!! Keep us posted!!

I wouldn't mind a road trip to NJ for a weekend. Do you have a date in mind yet?
jerseyparts 10-27-2005, 11:21 AM Nothing solid, I am thinking late in august, so it's not too hot, and before the rainy season, the weekend is no problem, cause our staging area is usually desserted on the weekend, its juts getting time in the service dept, and blocking out time for the test track, as saturday is usually the biggest selling day for the New Car Salesmen, so it might be easier on a sunday... but nothing is concrete yet.

I'm in as well... looking forward to it!!! I'm currently trying to persuade some other folks from Michigan and Ohio in to attending. I hope that we can have as many, if not more, people than at the NC meet last year.
Thanks Brian for putting this thing together.

I would really like to attend, so if this is a set date, then exaxtly what loc. with address. And also for us out-of-towners, any local hotel suggestions and phone#'s would be appreciated.
Also any Titan owners up this way wanting to do a convoy down there, I would be up for that as well. (I know that sounds corny, but would make a hell of a pic. and a lot of stairs!)
jerseyparts 01-03-2006, 06:39 AM I added a second Post withn address, and I will contact Hotels and the campground this week to arrange some kind of package. but here is the link with the address:
http://www.nissanofturnersville.com/Information-Directions.aspx
jerseyparts 01-04-2006, 12:55 PM I was thinking, Any of you guys that are having trouble with your service depts, if you come in on friday night, let me know ahead of time, and I will see if I can get your vehicles in on saturday for any problems you might be having...
Saturdays book very fast around here, so you would have to let me know asap.
Brian:
How does this work? Does it mean that if I show at your dealership Friday afternoon (the 5th) I'll have to leave it overnight to have work done?
Please clarify because I have 2 things that need taking care of.
Thanks.
jerseyparts 01-05-2006, 11:43 PM Naaa, we can just make the appointment now, for the 6th during the morning, (we are closing the shop at 1:00 to accomodate the meet and get it cleaned up for the tours.)
and you bring it in in the morning, and you can get a private tour while you are waiting...

And another cop in the rear ;)
jerseyparts 01-14-2006, 07:13 AM Depends on the mods, I got certain guys that do certain things, I would not let just anyone go hog wild on your truck.....
goval 01-16-2006, 11:17 PM For those of you that were in the North Carolina meet, well, my daughter pooped all over her car seat on the day we were about to leave from there. Well, this year there won't be any of that. My daughter is staying with my sister in Hillside, NJ, so I'll be alone with my wife on the meet. Yeeha!! I'm getting wasted at the casinos bro... Will be saving some money for that too.
By the way, where's NK?
float_test 01-17-2006, 12:18 AM Brian, I just came across this thread been very busy, tis the season down here. So fill me in here, time date set in stone, put me down for a MAYBE. Wife and i need to schedule.
msp2928 01-17-2006, 10:01 AM Brian
I was looking for someone to install a leveling kit and realign the truck. You have anyone that could do that on that day??
jerseyparts 01-18-2006, 08:46 PM With all the people coming, I am sure we can get your Leveling kit installed, I will try to perusade a Tech to stay over and align the truck, but we would probably have to meet early to get this done...
