: New front end mod???

Today we had an 04 Armada in the shop I work at. I noticed it had a lower spoiler in the front that added a nice look to the front end. So I compared the front bumpers of my Titan and the Armada....100% the same. I called Jaimie JUST to get an idea of price. It was so rediculouos that it ships out on Monday. 22$ our price plus shipping and 2 screws and 4 bolts. If anyone has done this mod I would love to see it, if not then at that price I'll be a guinea pig . I will post some pics if there is any interest.

Hey 04Crew. I have been talking to the guys at ClubArmada.com about this. Only the 4x2 Armadas have this we believe. I was wondering the exact same thing about if it would fit the Titan or not I just had not gotten around to calling anyone. Please post pics when you get it on I believe Its something I will want to do.

I talked to Jaimie today, he should get it within the next two days. It should be arriving to me by middle of next week.

This is how it fastens to the bumper. If you have the holes in the bottom flange of the bumper it should not be a problem to install.
(the spoiler is part 5)

I was under mine just the other day. I noticed the holes and was wondering what they were for. Now I know and I believe I will be making a call to Jamie tomorrow.

Definately like to see that when you get it bolted on...

Recieved my spoiler today...however, Jaimie only sent two screws and 4 speed clips. I find it hard to believe that this is all that holds this piece on. I will call him or stop by my dealer tommorrow to see whats up. There are no existing bolts or screws in my bumper that line up. Once I get the right stuff, I will list all parts that need to be ordered. I guess this is what happens when your the first. If I knew how to do it right, maybe I could have gotten it free for "testing" like Jetech does!!!!! hahaha

Well? Any word? I'll have to go down to the dealer and crawl under the front of an Armada. Does anybody want pics of the Armada if they have one on the lot?

I ordered one of the lower airdams back in late Dec. The dealer has recieved 4 of them and thus far every one of them have been damaged. Supposed to pick the fifth one up tonight. Will post if I get it installed.

Finally got a spoiler, after five attempts, that was undamaged. Got it installed but the picture is not so good because it is dark and snowing here again. Will post more pictures in some better light tomorrow. I likes it!

The parts needed are as follows:
1 - 62822-7S000 - Spoiler
10 - 01456-00421 - Screws
10 - 01241-00671 - Nut-J (Speed clips)

Very nice Boone, how much did it cost you, if you don't mind me asking?

List was $38.62 for all parts combined. I got it for $30.00 +tax. Ever since I gave my parts guy a chance to match Jamie's prices on bed rails, he gives me everything for net cost. I'm not one to ask questions if you know what I mean.

There still making money don't you worry about that. :D That's about 23% off list. There are a few online sites that sell for 30% off list, most online sites are 25% off list, and I think that's what Jamie sells for, also I think body shops and repair shops buy parts at 40% off list. But either way, that's still an awesome price from a local dealer. They usually don't budge off full list price. :D But anyway, let's see some pics when you guys get these put on. I'm thinking about doing it also. :)

Here are a few more Pictures. I have to say that I like the way it makes the front end look and completes the look I was going for. Okay, done with the front end. Next stop, front end lift.

Really looks nice, Boone. I just went down to my dealer and ordered mine. I'm the first one that's ordered one from them. How long did it take for yours to come in (from order to receipt of the first set)?

Ordered the last week of December. First one arrived the 1st week of January. Seems like most things I order from the dealer arrive in about a week. The install took about 10min and is a snap. There are three pins that fall right into holes at the lower front edge of the bumper.

I'm glad someone was able to get this mod. I ordered mine almost two weeks ago. I thought Jaimie was going to include allllllll the parts needed to mount this. It came pretty quick but with only two screws....went to the dealer and ordered them and thats what i have been waiting for. I have a spoiler that i can drool over imagining what it will look like. Thats IT!!!!!!
TICK, TICK,TICK,TICK Its like watching a clock.

Yeh I have to say out of all the Titans I have seen pictures of on the site I like Boone's the best. Its just really great the way its all come together. Not too fancy, just right and just enough change to make it original and unique. Good job man. Now to just get my rails and air dam. I will be happy for a while.(yeh right).

Thanks for all the positive comments!! I bought the truck last March and the only thing that I din't like about it was the lower grill. It seems silly that Nissan would leave such an open hole for rocks and other road debris to get at vital parts (fan, radia, evap). I kept hoping that the '05 would come out with a lower grill that matched the top one, thats what I really wanted. I played with ideas for months mocking up pictures on the computer. I'm real happy with the way it turned out and glad you all like it as well.

do you think this part will fit on the titans with the skid plate up front? would it fit with some trimmong if not?

Boone-Titan
01-23-2005, 05:00 PM
Someone posting on TT with the OR package said they did just that. Yes with some trimming I'm sure it would fit but you'll loose about three fastners in the middle. The plastic is fairly rigid so I don't think it would flex much. Maybe you can search over there and get in touch with the person.

was at my dealership today, and was razzing the parts manager about how some guys are getting this air dam for $30.00. He said let me see what I can do. He comes back and says $28.00 for everything including screws and nuts . I said order it, he said "all ready did, knew you would want it"! Great find Boone, I think it will look great with my fender flares!

I got mine from the dealer on Monday and put it on Tuesday while the weather was decent. Easy job, took all of 10 minutes, and part of that was spent looking for my screwdriver...

I took pictures and will post tonight.

OK, here's my how-to install the Armada air dam on a Titan. This is about the easiest mod you can do, taking all of 10 minutes to complete.

First, gather all your parts together. You need 11 screws, 9 speed clips and one air dam.

http://www.clubtitan.org/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10639/normal_Air%20Dam%201.JPG

If you look under your bumper, you can see the holes for the air dam speed clips and alignment posts.

http://www.clubtitan.org/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10639/normal_Air%20Dam%202.JPG

Install the 9 speed clips from the back edge of the bumper on each of the square holes, as shown.

http://www.clubtitan.org/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10639/normal_Air%20Dam%203.JPG

Align the air dam so that the three posts on top line up with the holes under the bumper. Holding it with your free hand, start installing 9 of the 11 screws through the holes.

http://www.clubtitan.org/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10639/normal_Air%20Dam%205.JPG

There are two speed clips pre-installed, one on each end of the air dam. The screws for these must be installed from inside each of the front wheel wells.

http://www.clubtitan.org/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10639/normal_Air%20Dam%206.JPG

There! All done, and it really does look better with the air dam.

All Houston owners: I just ordered the package - air dam and all fasteners for $28.00 - Mossy Nissan on Katy gave me the discount when I let them know other dealers were giving discounts. Never hurts to ask!

Just ask for Thomas in Parts Department . Should be here in 4 to 5 days.

I stoped at my body shop after getting mine to get a price on painting. He said the material the valance is made of is not condusive to painting. He said the least little rock hit would chip it up and could start peeling. He said he love to take my money, but it would look terrible in a matter of weeks.

I noticed that it shed water like a duck. I wondered if paint would stick to it. Oh well.

Here's a pic of my Armada valance. I got the factory clips but they didn't seem to hold tight. I went to Ace hardware and got some bolts, nuts, washers, and lock washers. They only cost me $3.50. They crappy clips from Nissan were like $13.00.
