i am about to buy a titan and when i was on the test drive i noticed that it will be almost impossible to put a aftermarket cd player in. so my question is how do you install a amp and subs, does the factory titan cd player have audio in and outs, or do you have to buy an adaptor? the titan does have the fosgate system.
also i noticed the titan i drove had a dvd head unit in the back but no screen...why does it have this and how hard would it be to put a screen in the last drop down compartment on the headliner.
i am tryin to learn everything about the titan i can before i buy it. so please any information, or any corrections are helpful.

I pretty easy to put an aftermarket head unit in, I had the single cd player and replaced it with a new alpine. Just have to buy the new bracket to fill the double din.

Like jcarter said, it's easy to put in an aftermarket HU if you do go that route. You sust have to get an XE bezel and an adaptor kit. There's a few out there and some different ways to do it, so search around this site and make sure you find the way you like.
As for the connections on the stock HU, I'm not really sure but my guess is they are not there. It seems that most people like to use a line driver (i.e. AudioControl LC6) to "clean up" the signals. With the RF system, though, I thought I remember seeing that it comes with a sub. I'm sure someone here with your specific combo can give you more information, like what parts of the setup you could reuse, etc.
As for the DVD part, I'm not sure what you're asking. I would think any package that had a DVD player wold have to have a screen with it. There are people on here that have put screens in those overhead compartments and that doesn't look hard either. You can search around for those and find good info, too.
Good luck, and enjoy your new truck! There's lots of good info here and a lot of educated and helpful members here, so soak it all up!

Afgermaket radio is easy, by the Metra dash kit and wire harness, or buy the Nissan piece for radio. also the voerhaead system add on screen is quite expensive and a small screen. (myrion Davis makes it. If you can buy the xe, with the overhaed console that does not go all the way to the back, you can put a nice overhead in it.see (my 05 titan thread to see mine. it is a panasonic all in one unit with headphones and aftermarket 10gb harddrive radio.)

you asked a very open ended question, and are liable to get slammed. The first thing you wil hear is (search) Those of us toying with several options all prefer different brands. This is what I am trying this time around. I am going to spend more, but I want a theft deterant type stock look. They look in and don't see anything, it will be there when I get back in.
Factory HU..use a JL Clean Sweep or Audio Control with LOC (JL for me)
Subs..JL Stealthbox or MTX Thunderform (MTX for me)
Components... Uh Yeah there are tons (mine will likely be MTX again. I like them, and can't really beat them for the money.)
Amplifiers..torn between JL or MTX. I know the MTX amps are great, but that darn JL company is pulling me towards the darkside.
If you want an aftermarket HU, you will also need a PAX Swix thing to get your steering wheel controls to work again.
Overhead console...Best bet is an Audiovox. Get with a GOOD stereo shop. There are adapters that make it work with existing factory controls, and you get a better bigger picture with the DVD player buit in. I thin they have a 10.2" that absolutely rocks.
Best of luck, and welcome to it.
