This is the first opportunity I believe on any Titan forum for a group buy for leather interior upgrades for 2004, 2005 & 2006 Titans. The vendor has offered attractive pricing for the leather upgrades as shown in the images below. This same group buy is available and is posted on both www.ClubTitan.org and www.TitanSpot,com so you may sign up to buy at either website.

The delivery time is typically about 15-20 working days to your door after the group order is placed. The sooner the group buy is completed, the sooner the order can be manufactured and delivered.

Clarify a few things..Are these covers I can install? Is this price for front and rear? These look awesome. I am definately interested........

This is from the same company that sells on the bay for the same price. $559.00 does this group buy include the lower $145.00 and bring the total to $414.00?

The list pricing, $679, before discount, is for both front & rear seats. The last JPG image, TitanGB02, was one that was provided by the manufacturer that lists a one-seat option at $579 at list price, $100 less than the two seat option. I don't know why they included the one-seat option as I don't know why anyone would want to only upgrade the front seat. So, all of the other pricing in the post except for the 1-seat section pricing in the TitanGB02 image is for a complete, 2-seat upgrade.

You may either install the seat covers yourself or let an installer/local upholsery shop perform the installation. I suppose your installation choice would come down to your level of hands-on expertise and confidence level. The installation, I am told, is not difficult but is time consuming. I plan to install my leather covers and I plan to take my time and not rush the installation. Both www.katzkin.com and www.autoleathers.com will list installers in your zipcode or you can use any local upholsterer in your area. You may also contact Bill Coon at billc@leatherseats.com for more definitive information.

Leatherseat.com warrants their seat cover whether they are installed by the buyer or by a shop, unlike some aftermarket leather vendors. The warranty can be viewed on their website at www.leatherseats.com

$145 is the amount that the list price of $679 plus $25 shipping is reduced by buying as a group buy. $559 is the best price on 20-or-more group buy.

$679 + $25 = $704 - $145 = $559 (20 or more pricing)

Unlike the leather seats on EBay, you have the option here to custom choose your colors and other add other options that are not available from the seats on the EBay site. Once the buying level reaches 10 units, free shipping is also included. I'm assuming one has to pay for for shipping on EBay purchases.

Thanks adjmcloon for your interest. I'm a forum member just like you. I've been in the market for leather seats for awhile and it appeared there was never going to be a group buy unless somebody stepped up to get it started. I decided to take up the challenge and try to make the most of it but I don't have any idea if this would be permissible.

I cannot provide an answer for you about the Armada leather seats being included. I can only refer you to Bill Coon at leatherseats.com. Bill's e-mail address is billc@leatherseats.com. If Bill says it's OK, that's 1 more buy toward the needed 20 for the maximum discount.

I will e-mail Bill for my own clarification on including Armada in the group buy but I would recommend you do the same. I will post Bill's answer when I hear back from him in any event. I hope his answer is in the affirmative. :D

guys i already have leather but wanted to let you know i have a buddy that installed a leather package from these guys and it was top notch and looked excellent. he said it wasnt hard but took a little time.

I heard that they were nice as well. I'm not a leather fan myself...but these should be GREAT!!!

This post is a suggestion, even to those who may be only warmly receptive to a GB, to contact and ask for leather samples from www.autoleathers.com, a competing vendor. I have scanned and posted the image below. This was a strategy that worked well for me. You may do this online or call 1 866 75SEATS. Their brochure has a wide range of leather color options and they have an exotic leather selection as a separate brochure that also includes real swatches. In case you wondered, autoleathers.com will not do group buys.

When I contacted the manufacturer of the current group buy, www.leatherseats.com, I asked for samples based on the colors that I found on the autoleathers.com brochure shown on the images below. Once I received the sample swatches from leatherseats.com, I found them to be identical in color to those from autoleathers.com.

The samples swatches from leatherseats.com are much larger than those shown on the brochure and is about 1 1/2 times larger than the purple swatch shown in the upper left. The larger sample swatches make the color selection much easier.

A heads up here: There is a new color, "Bronze" that is neither shown in any brochure and does not yet show up on the leatherseats.com website. I found "Bronze" to be a perfect match for the interior of my 2004 KC SE with Graphite/Titanium interior. I would highly recommend that you request a "Bronze" sample swatch for your consideration.

Many other people have found that the Graphite, Dark Graphite & Charcoal to be suitable color options.

Bill Coon, billc@leatherseats.com, told me there was no limit on the number of samples he will send so if you are undecided about a particular color, I would go ahead and ask for the sample in question. Leatherseats.com samples only comes as loose swatches.

Bill Coon of www.leatherseats.com has agreed to permit Armada leather seat upgrades to be included in the Titan Group Buy. This is good news as it makes it easier to reach the higher discount level and it allows Armada owners to join in the group buy.

The image below gives all the details of the Armada pricing and options.

The Armada 2-row leather is only available with Premium Leather Content. The Armada 3-row is priced below as Deluxe Leather Content but the 3-row "Deluxe" interior is "Premium" content on the first two rows and the 3rd seat is 100% vinyl. The only difference between the 3-row Deluxe and the 3-row Premium is the 3rd seat goes from 100% vinyl to leather facing, just like the first two row.

There is an image in the first post in this thread that shows the difference between Deluxe and Premium leather kits.

My choice for leather color is the new color "Bronze" from leatherseats.com that was specifically made for the Titan interior, and I suppose the Armada as well. Bronze is a perfect match for my 2004 SE KC with the Graphite/Titanium interior and it is dark so it won't show dirt like the lighter colors as they age. If I decide to go with a two-tone interior, I will go with "Puddy" for my seat inserts but I'm still undecided if I want two-tone. I think the two-tone gives a sportier appearance but the solid color, especially a darker tone, offers a more luxury appearance.

OK guys and gals the leather group buy has been running now for 2 weeks. In the beginning it was decided that the group buy would run for a period of 21 days. It was thought this time period would give anyone with even a passing interest with sufficient time to obtain leather sample colors for evaluation and to make a determination whether to join in the group buy.

The people who have indicated an interest in joining the group buy to date, with buying interest level, are as follows:

1. QWIKWHIP (20+ level)
2. Kronos1965 (20+ level)
3. mcginkleschmidt (10+ level)

As of the end of the day of Dec. 7, one week from today, the group buy opportunity will close. Hey guys and gals. I installed a leatherseats.com kit in another car of mine and can vouch for the quality. I did the install myself and the aftermarket leather was much better quality than OEM (VW/Audi in this case). The install was not too difficult but did involve some tricks. You will probably need the hog ring pliers but I haven't dug into the Titan too much.

Also be sure to inspect your covers carefully before installation. I found one seat cover that had some bad stitching. I called leatherseats.com and they sent out a new cover right away.

Also these covers are not anything like what you see at pep boys, they actually replace the cloth in your vehicle. I won't be doing leather in our Titan since my wife likes the cloth interior but I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

It died a painfully slow and agonizing death :x

Maybe it spooked folks who couldn't do the install themselves and didn't have an upholsterer around to do this kind of work.

Or maybe it was too close to Christmas and money for the silly season was tight.

Contact the moderators and see if we can do it again. Who knows. Maybe people have refunds coming from taxes! :wink:

The same day that I started the leather seat group buy on CT and on TS, I went over to TT and pm'ed everyone on the running list of interested buyers on one particular thread in about the Sept. 2005 time period: http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-interior-discussion/28493-leather-conversion-kit.html?highlight=leather Additionally, I pm'ed some other people who had indicated an interest on various other threads where leather was discussed.

If my memory serves me well, I believed I sent out 19 pm's to people on the list at TT who had earlier indicated a willingness to buy leather seat covers. I received a reply from about 6 people most of whom had either already purchased leather or had gotten rid of their Titan. The single person from that list on TT that got back to me with an interest in buying was Kronos1965. :happy:

Over a period of three weeks only three people indicated an interest in the group buy. Due to the TT policy of not allowing group buys from anyone except a sponsoring vendor, it was not possible to announce the group buy on that website. After the group buy began, I posted a number of passing references (stealth group buy announcements) that a leather seat group buy was underway on CT & TS. Except 3-4 people nobody seemed to care.

That's my analysis :D

Josh has allowed me to solicit interest in the leather and Homelink mirrors for the Armada/Titan and Frontiers. I will soon be preparing pricing for these various models. I will post in the General Discussion area, designated by the rules. There will be options for thinner material (cheaper, seen on LS and E Bay) and thicker OEM quality material, as well as options. All the pricing is for front and rear. The higher price is for the upgraded leather content kit, the lower is the "deluxe" often seen on E bay and has less leather coverage on the rear seats (vinyl with leather inserts).

Two tone is $30 more per kit. Not per row.

First price is for the higher leather coverage kit, the lower price, less leather coverage on the rear seats. Higher price kit comes with vinyl door accents, if you want to use them.

Ships via DHL ground, $25/kit. Leaves within 3 days usually of receipt of order with Paypal, Visa, MC, or Amex.
