So I order a bunch of stuff yesterday, what do you guys think about this set up for a simple inexpensive system??

Kicker KX700.5 (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-FhDUCmFWEs3/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=2064KX7005&s=0&cc=01)
Infinity 6810cs (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-FhDUCmFWEs3/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=1086810CS&s=0&cc=01)
Infinity 6012i (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-FhDUCmFWEs3/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=1086012I&s=0&cc=01)
Infinity 1040w (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-FhDUCmFWEs3/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=1081040W&s=0&cc=01)
PAC OEM-2 (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-TNjuyLJzBUy/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?search=pac+oem%2D2&i=127OEM2)

I got the subs from Crutchfield and the rest of the stuff from www.etronics.com. I also ordered some other misc install stuff from www.sonicelectronix.com. So far I've got just over $800 into it. Seems like a good price to me for all that stuff. 8) I will be sure to post pics when it all get's here and I start installing it all. :D

6x8???? The front door is 6x9 i do not think they wiil just fit in there, also you would actually get a better sound if you went to the 6.5 components.

Looking good. Seems like you've got a nice system on the way. Can't wait to see pics.

The 6x8's will fit. The Infinity speakers have a multifit frame. And I went with them to maximize the midbass. I'm not going after high end SQ, just better than stock. 8) I did toss the two back and forth for a while, but in the end decided on the 6x8's.

Thanks Puv, I'm not too sure yet actually. I may toy around with some fiberglass again. Something down firing though so I can still load stuff on top of the box.

I made this for my Audi a couple years ago.

Thanks. It sounded pretty good too. The box should have been a little bigger, but I just didn't have the room. :D

I wanna do some upgrading too, but I have to re-build the mod fund first! Should sound great after you throw it all together!

Well, I should have gone with the 6 1/2's like most have suggested. They do fit, but they are actually 5x7 with mounts that allow them to fit in a 6x9 hole. So they are small. I am returning them for the 6 1/2" components. Oh well, live and learn. :D lol
