Is it possible to put the sterring wheel radio controls on an XE? There is a blank spot on LH side that looks like it could just pop off.
Part of reason I bought an XE was so that I could do the mods I wanted to it. ( well, that and the price issue) Mid grade (preffered pkg) stero on XE is same as non rockford fosgate on SE an LE so it should have spot for remote wiing on it. XE should have most of wiring harnesses set up just like an SE or LE or is my thinking wrong.
anyone got any ideas or info

It probably does pop off but I'm sure the actual steering wheel is different because there's Radio Controls on the left and cruise control on the right. Alot of wiring looks to be involved. Has to be a different steering wheel. Just my opionion. I may be wrong though...

most if not all of the electronics on the titan go through the IPDM (itelligent power distribution module) and BCM, so adding stuff is not that simple. You could hard wire stuff in, but it will not function the same, as the computers and relays do most of the work.

Also most of us have learned that they are not all wired the same, just because they did not put it in does not mean it is even wired. Several insiders said they do productions runs, and that is why ordering a vehicle takes so long, because you have to wait until they make the run you are looking for. They make one exactly vehicle, and change the line for the next. They keep cost down, because they do not put all the plugs in for stuff that is not needed. If you think in the big scale they work, it makes since if the LE has 500 harness and the XE has only 200, not putting in the extra 300 harness on one vehilce would save money on materials and factory line time. Then times that number by the total number of vehicles, they look to save quite a chunk of change, and they still seem to pass that on to the consumer. I have had many coments my self that this 28K truck I have has so many features, that the value is great. My uncle just bought a dodge, and does not have all the options I do and still paid more.

Also Serveral people have done the mods on the XE, check out A4Bry4's XE, he has added quite alot, but he did not use nissan parts for most, I think he found a shop that does these kinds of additions, and they did a wonderful job.
