: Hey Boone-Titan what kind of bed rails do you have
I really like those tube rails they look great. Let me know where you got those. Are yours black or dark grey I have trouble telling from the pics. By the way I think you have one of the best looking Titans on the site.
Thanks in advance
M4ck
m4ck, they look like the Nissan rails to me. If so, the would be the same grey the stock step rails are.
LDOTITAN 01-19-2005, 04:31 PM I saw the Nissan rails on a TITAN on the dealer's lot. They were black and had a rough texture to them, almost as if they'd been sprayed with the Linex bed liner material. Sure would make it more difficult to reach into the bed though. The bed sides are high enough without adding more to them. Excellent look, though.
Dont think I will have a problem reaching in. I can reach in there fine. Heres a pic. LOL Im a big boy you know. http://www.clubtitan.org/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10002/normal_102_0781.JPG
LDOTITAN 01-19-2005, 05:03 PM Are you sure that's not a new Frontier you're standing next to?? :D :D :D
LOL yeh I'm sure. I am about 6' 5" maybe a little taller. and about 330lbs.

Boone-Titan 01-19-2005, 06:23 PM The bed tube rails are Nissan. They match the set rails. I like them and the install was a snap.

What an eye, sometimes I just impress myself! (j/k)
I guess I just don't see too many of the Titans with rails on them. Even when I went to the gallery looking I dont really remember seeing anyone except you with rails.
I like them they are nice and beefy looking. I wonder if I can get them in black.

LDOTITAN 01-20-2005, 03:26 AM I refer back to my other post in that the rails I saw on a Red Brawn Titan on the dealers lot were black. Rough texture similar to the bed liner. Perhaps there are two styles available through OEM.

Ill check into this. thanks

Boone-Titan 01-20-2005, 03:49 AM The rails are slightly textured like the step rails. I know I've seen spray paint that is textured like stone and the splatter paint used in trunks (back in the good old days). Maybe you could find textured paint in black. The rails would match the bed cap if they were black. That would make the rails look like they where all one piece with the bed cap. I think it would look really good.
Boone-Titan 01-20-2005, 04:34 AM Here are some pictures from the bed rail install and one from the side after completion. If memory serves me the bed tube rails were ~$90.00.
Where did you get them for $90.00 that is a good price.

majon1 01-20-2005, 05:25 AM Nice, Boone...pics are good, truck looks great!
Boone-Titan 01-20-2005, 05:26 AM Like I said...If memory serves me it was $90.00. Memory may be out to lunch. LOL! I looked for the reciept but could not find. I got a price from Jamie at TitanParts247.com and my dealer parts guy matched it. Saved me the shipping.
jinkim 01-21-2005, 05:29 PM I called Crown Nissan in Greenville (where M4ck and I live) and they want $225 for the bed tube rails.
There is a 10% discount coupon on http://greenvillenissan.crownauto.com/Specials-Parts.aspx
Crown is in "prime" location so they are sooooo expensive with everything.
I bought my Titan there (With Nissan partner rebate, and 1% interest) but I gotta find another dealer for service and parts.
Boone-Titan, mind sharing the part number? So I can find it on TitanParts247.com ???
Thanks.

OH MAN!!!!!!!
jinkim 01-22-2005, 05:45 PM I called all dealers around a 50 mile radius and $191 for the bed tube rails sounds right.
I guess $225 - 10% isn't too bad of a deal.
Thanks for the help guys.

Hmm, wonder if I can install it while my wife is out of town and then convince her it's always been their when she comes back...
So that she won't ride my a$$ about buying more stuff for the truck. :-))
Good luck with the wife JinKim

LOL, if you only knew!
TitanCritter 02-01-2005, 02:57 PM i've got those bed rails also, and i also got them from jamie at titanparts247. i like them, but what a time i had with them.
the first batch came in bent tips. they were uninstallable and the paint was chipping where the metal was bent. had to send them back and reorder. They came in the Nissan box, and Nissan didn't pack it well at all, so when the ups or fedex guy set the box down on it's end, he crushed the tips.
the second batch came in ok, but i had a hell of a time getting them on. it took a long time and lots of muscle to push the rail down onto the bracket and get the screw in. it's as if all the measurements were off by a couple millimeters. i had to basically sit on the rail from the bed. i don't know how to post pics here in the message yet (new person), but when i get home i'll post some of the damaged rails on my gallery page.
if you order these, just really check them over to make sure they are in good shape.
Boone-Titan 02-03-2005, 05:01 AM Had the same problem Titancritter. I ordered from my dealer and the first set were bent at the tips bad. Just recently bought a front spoiler and the same thing happened 4 times. Nissan, or their vendors, needs some packing lessons. I also had a tough time with the rail install. Compressing those rubber gaskets was a real pain while trying to get the bolt in.
I just refused and reorderd a front spoiler also! :(
LDOTITAN 03-18-2005, 03:11 PM Thanks to this thread, I knew to check them. My dealer had one set in stock and when I asked to open up the box and inspect them, he knew exactly what I was looking for. The ends on both rails were bent up just like the pictures I've seen on the site. He's supposed to get another set in tomorrow, so I'll go in and look. I had not thought about asking him to price match nissanparts247 until I reviewed this thread. May have to try that. Either way, I'm getting them here. With Jamie's shipping, I only save $20. I'm willing to pay that to have them right now and not worry about shipping them back if they're damaged. Would like some more details from Boone-Titan, TitanCritter and anyone else who installed the rails themselves about the difficulties you had.
Sorry, I've rambled on long enough.
cerealkiller2 03-22-2005, 10:05 PM m4ck,
You have the king cab right? If so I may be willing to part with my bed rails. I really want a set of PRG leveling kit (So maybe you could rig something up! j/k
But if you can get another set form Greg, maybe we could make a swap.
