Has anyone built a box for 2 10's to fit under the back seat of the CC? If so, which way do you have the subs firing, I'm attempting to build a box for 2 Alpine subs but am looking for the best way to position to subs.

My are facing up, but I think the best way would be to face it down, this way you can put stuff on top, like groceries.

Functionally, down is great and will probably be the way I go. But goval, yours sure looks great!

Very nice box. I think downfiring is the way to go. Same reason subs in a trunk or hatch usually face backwards..

The Stealthbox is ready to bolt in: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_stealthbox_detail.php?fit_id=1517
The Stealthbox is the result of months of R&D with the goal of finding the best subwoofer/enclosure combination to match the sonic signature of the vehicle.
Pre-loaded and ready to bolt in.

Wish that Stealth was available for the King cab. :(

I'm not going to be able to hold out until Feb.I would have ordered one today instead I will have to make my own or buy a prefab. :(

Is there major difference in the seat design between CC and KC? I thought the difference was the leg room between the seats.

There must be enough of a difference for JL to spend an additional 6-8 months to create one for the King Cab.As far as I remember they took on a tester King cab back in May or June.

I am guessing the crew cab seat is wider then then King.

That link didn't work for me ?

I did see what seemed like decent prefab http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/1631438/vpcsid/0/SFV/30046/sret/12151621716192202812102132822152142252862172322232 90223228235296227232239240229242245248235246249 I don't know how that compares?I most likely am going to break out the table saw and pretend I know something about box building.I want to give one sub a shot before I go to two.

I want that Stealthbox. Does anyone have it yet? Anybody know if it's worth it?
I know bass is non-directional meaning it normally doesn't matter where it's placed, but it seems like it would be lopsided w/ both 10's over there on the pass. side. Any input on this?

Yeah I'm thinking that prefab is better then I can build.Problem is I was thinking of sticking with my 1 sub for now which leaves me playing Bob Vila.

I have just 1 10" HE2 Punch right now.It sits on the passenger side.It sounds full and not side specific.I just would like something that looks better. It's a downfire box here's some pics

That looks very functional. Just looks like it needs some cosmetic help. Have it Line-X'd or Rhino'd and it'll be good to go.
I wouldn't mind tackling a project like that. Only problem is I don't have a table saw. I only have a circular saw.

Yeah..just never got around to covering it and dressing it up.I want to make a new one that is a little larger air space wise. Also I am wanting to countour to the seat shape along the lines of the stealth.I've never done glass work before but it can't be any worse then my carpentry.I'm actually just as good as.. if not better with my circular saw then my table saw.The table saw speeds things up but why I can't get perfect cuts is beyond me.I can 't make anything come out exactly true...close but not like someone who actually knows how to build stuff.

I have the stealth and buy the time you buy the subs, the box actual cost is around $250, pretty goo for an enclosure you no works. i actually paid $680, but that is what most go for. I have heard cheper, but not around me, and all of their stuff is tracked by serial number, so warranty is important to me.

as long as you have a ext cab your ok with that box, I buy from Audio enhancers direct and, they have a problem with the crew cab boxes.

The box fits fine, the problems were subs to close to floor and they did not work right. I waas told that they did not have the problem with the extended cab.
