I met John this morning and introduced him to this site. He has a sharp truck!

Its nice to know there are people out there that share the same as I do. Right now I have a 4x4 se fully loaded and I am about to put a 6 inch left on it and 38 or 39 tires. Brush guard and a cold air intake with a supercharger (once it hits the market). Any females out there driving a titan?

I ran outta daylight, so I quit trying to figure out how I screwed up my Leaf Spring Helpers :lol:

Baja what did you do? Were you trying to do something to it or were you riding around and something happen.

I was puttin leaf spring helpers on my truck. One side went ok, but the other is messed up somehow. All these guys said it was easy, so I went for it :lol: I put the bolt tru the loc strap, put a nut on, put the bolt tru the other side and put the other nut on. Now, tighten it, right? Nope, the bolt won't move, the nuts won't move. They stuck 8O The harder I wrench on it, the more the strap bends, so I just tightened the other end down.

No, I didn't think I needed any. May try it in the morning. But not, I've bent the strap a little, so it may be too stressed to hold.

If you have a way to heat it up and straighten it it will help with the strangth.

:lol: You don't need heat to bend it. It's pretty thin.

but if you heat it, it will give its strength back that is how medal gets its strangth

First I gotta get the bolt out.

Try to get some break free. that should get them out

you dont need to heat treat this piece of metal, its just a thin strap to hold the front end of the spring helpers up. the main u-bolt is the nuts that need to be really tight. the small bolt up front just has to have the 2 nuts tightened against each other to lock them together. the front of the spring helper actually pushes up on the front of the leaf springs when the axle wraps up.

Is that like WD 40, only really works?

So I can leave it like that? I got the back on tight, but the springs didn't come together like on the other side where the strap thing worked. The u bolts are equally tight. If I remember Jet said to count the treads on top so they are the same.

Can't do that or a sig pic. That's where I'm tryin. I'm doin the right click copy/paste, but there's no paste to click on. I really appriciate your willingness to do it for me, but I need to know how myself. I mean, it's 2005, I should know how to do this stuff. :oops:

Not sure I know what your trying to copy and paste.
1. Go to your profile.
2. Scroll down to bottom of page.
3. Click on "Browse" button beside "Upload Avatar from your machine:
4. Locate the file on your hard drive you want to use.
5. Click the "Submit" button at bottom.
6. That should do it.

By the way it does have to be within a certain size limit. Cant remember what it is though. I will tell you if its too big though.

That exactly what I did. All those are too big. So I put some in the gallery and tryed to copy/ paste from a thumbnail. BiXLL's Suggestion. When I right click on the thumbnail, I ck copy, the go back to the profile, rt ck, but there's no clickable paste. :cry:

guess i miss understood, you are having a problem with the heavyduty u-bolt and plate? not the front thin bolt? yes i have these on my truck also. if the spsrings arent coming together the same then mabye there not located the same distance back on the leaf? did you cross thread the nut on the bolt?

No, you have it right. It's the front thin one. I'm pretty sure they are lined up right. I'll check tomorrow~~got dark on me. Then we'll go back to the mod's!!! :lol:

yea it sounds like you did it right, just make sure that the 2 nuts that you threaded onto that bolt are tightened against each other to lock them together :D good luck tomarrow and if you still have problems, drop me a message and ill try to further help :roll:

First of all does any one know what size gears the titans have in them. Second what is the biggest tire that anyone has seen on a titan with a six inch lift on it.
