I always heard this was bad news or dangerous or ??

At the very least you void some warrantys...?

Anyone who's combined a 6" suspension with a 3" body, I'd love to hear about the problems you ran into etc, etc.

A lot of people run a body and suspension lift without any problems. But I am not a fan of body lifts, I have done two and it seems like the wires and hoses and everything else is too short and end up pulled a little tighter than I like. I think they make an 8" lift now so how high would you be trying to go. If you go too high you will be tempted to put on tires way bigger than the axles can handle. Just my .02 8)

Thanks Chris. As far as I know that 8" is just for 2wd. The 7" CST is more than a ProComp 6" + a 3" body without the welding and so on. I also don't quite want to go 12" with that one lift that's out there (forget name).

I'd also stick with 35" tires.

I just want more than a 3" lift in the back which is about the end result from a 6" lift right? (with the stock rake so bad).

The CST kit uses a 4" fabricated rear block. Im working with a customer who has a CST lift and a 2" body lift (I didnt install it) and it looks ok. We can get 8-9" of lift on a 4x with some mods and no welding or cutting (unless the kit requires it). we can do this and greatly improve the ride over the stock coilovers, it just cost more money.

What needs to be done to get away from the body lift to get to an overall of 8-9 inches? Can this be accomplished without the use of coilovers? Also is this only with the CST lift?
