Ive got an olympus stylus, but its a bit more than $150. Check out beachcamera.com... Ive had great luck there, good service and shipping. They came recommended to me.

I have a Kodak Easy Share 3.1. It is very easy to operate, and gives picture quality good enough for me. Will be in the $100.00 to $150.00 range.

I bought my mom, sis, and gf all the 3.1 kodak for xmas. They all realy like thier cameras. The only thing I wish I had done diffrent was to buy them cramras with optical zoom and not just digital zoom.

Just as info Consumer Reports gives almost all digi cameras good reviews.

Yes the digital zoom to me is a totally unused feature.

I got the kodak easyshare dx3500 about 3 years ago and have taken over 2,000 pics with it. NO MORE FILM!!!! :D :D :D It's only 2.2MegaPix with no optical zoom. about 200 dokkars back then wasn't bad.

Now the cams you can get for under 400 are incredible. 5 megapix, good optical zoom.

One thing to consider, the larger the lens, the better your pics will be.

Mine is still plugging away, one thing that bugs me is there is about a one second delay from the time I hit the button until the shutter goes off. Makes action shots very tough. Also with no useable zoom and only 2.2 Megapix, I really had to get used to composing my pics while I shot.

I'd love to have at a better cam, but these new mini dv digital videocams cost the same. What to do what to do.

Another feature to consider is adjustable exposure settings that allow for good pics in different light conditions.

Whatever you get GoodLuck Flatblack. They are a lot of fun!!!

The best one for quality pictures are the Nikon line. I suggest look into those really hard. Now if you want all the extra goodies, look at Kodak or Canon. But IMHO, I would go with Nikon. I had a Nikon for 3-4 years and loved it. And I decided to upgrade to a Canon S1 IS and man, I wish I could have my old Nikon back. :(

Just thought I would update on my hunt for a digi cam. Found one I liked at a good price, $70. Fuji finepix 2600, all the features I wanted and a price the wife can live with. I should have it this week. I hope so I wanted to get some opinions on some stuff I want to do to My Precious.....Thanks all for the aide guys but, the wife ALWAYS wins with me. I think it's a thing called ? reason ? :? or, ..... something like that. What ever, it works for her.
