Well finally life settled down enough for me to replace my truck I sold 2 months ago. things have been pretty hectic with moving into new house, going to 200 Dr. appts. cause my wife is pregnant, and buying furniture for the new home. I've been saying for over 2 years now I was going to get a new mustang or chevy Silverado, and the decision was very hard.. But I chose a 2014 Mustang GT 5.0 with the MT82 trans and 3.73 gear package. I shouldn't have to tell you guys about how bad I wanted this after riding in a few of my friends new 5.0's and taking 4-5 testdrives at the dealership. Modding on this will probably be a lot slower because of the family and be more conservative as well since this is my daily driver..
Here's a list of mods I already plan on doing within the next 6 months.
ARH 1 3/4" Longtube headers with racing cats
Borla "Touring" catback, really don't want it obnoxiously loud, just a deeper note with meaner growl to it.
JLT carbon fiber cold air intake
Boss 302 intake manifold swap
SCT custom tuner package
and lastly some new rims since I hate the rims that are on it, LOL
Heres a pic of the ones I want with some Pirelli P-Zero low profile rubber..
as you can tell their knockoff cobra wheels but I don't care I love the look. :)

This badge has been inbedded in my head for over 20 yrs,lol ever since I first rode in my uncles 5.0 lx back in 92'

So F'in beautiful,lol

Love how the 2014's got some of the cobra design cues for the front end this year this was a major bonus for me.. I love the meaner front end..

Wont stay this way for long, haha

Lastly the interior, really wanted the leather seats, but of course you have to add a buncha bells and whistles to get them as you just can't add just the seats alone, and I wanted to keep this car light as possible. I figured I could do leather on the seats later and keep the carnote like 85 bucks cheaper by going with the base model mustang.

Looks like a good starting point for something special.

Good luck with the car, home and growing family!

Wow, lots of changes... and seemingly good ones. I have a 1 1/2 yr. old boy now myself. Wouldn't trade him for the world.

Wish you all the best for a safe delivery, a healthy baby, and a blessed new family.

Enjoy the new Stang. It does have that Cobra Stylee. Looks mean man...mean. That mod wish list doesn't look so conservative to me though, and knowing you, it will grow.... LOL! :D

I'm loving this car more and more every day, the power from a basicilly bone stock mustang is just insane.. I recently just installed the JLT cold air intake and SCT Bama tune, and it really woke this beast up. It was basicilly making anything more than half throttle in first and second gear useless as it'd just cook the tires. so I installed some BMR Lower control arms to control wheel hop and help with acceleration..
Next up are some RTR 19X9 and 19X10 wheels in matte black. Gonna murder this ride out and have already started adding tinted sidemarkers and brake lights :p Probably will order this grille also to get rid of the GT foglights and this grille looks like the GT500 grille which I love..

CDC grille from americanmuscle.com

blacked out corner markers

matte black 5.0 badges

more blacked out markers and rear brake light

window tint

Carbon fiber JLT CAI

I myself bought a 2014 GT last month. Only thing I've done so far are Bassani axlebacks. How noticeable is the JLT intake/bama tune? That's my next mod on the list along with an Xpipe.

Small touches cleaned up the "look".

looking good....grey is the new black.

what did you get?? I miss having a truck though.. eventually I'll probably get a Silverado and use that as a daily driver when I decide to take the mustang knee deep into drag racing and get involved with boost and building the block to take more power.

Well I ordered all my suspension, aluminum 1 piece driveshaft and my Borla stinger catback. Heres some pics of it all installed :)
The stang is now becoming quite a monster now that my traction has increased greatly even on the stock tires. Some 19x9.5 and 19x11 forgestars will be my next mod along with some Michelin pilot super sport rubber.
Some pics of the goodies.. Really pissed off the UPS guy this week, hahaha

Borla Stainless Stinger catback (you'd think for 1,200 bucks the damn thing wouldve been polished stainless)

Strange adjustable struts /w BMR springs

BMR LCA's, BMR relocation brackets and sway bar relocation kit ( so I can run 15x10 slicks at the track when i eventually am boosted)

BMR panhard and panhard brace

BMR UCA mount and adjustable UCA

BMR rear shocks and Viking double adjustable shocks (ended up having to remove the panhard relocation bracket because it was not letting the sway bar sit right when the weight was on the axle..)

Borla Stinger catback

Ended up having to pay a performance shop to install half my catback because I couldnt get the stock pipes out over the axle. On jackstands this was impossible

Driveshaft Shop aluminum 1 piece driveshaft
This mod alone proved to me its worth as much as the tune performance wise, it really increased acceleration a ton.

Finally got rid of the stock POS pirelli P-zeros and OEM rims!! I found a deal on one of the Forums on a brand new set of Forgestar CF-5's Way too good to pass up.. 2,300 bucks with Brand new Tires and rims that where never evenm mounted on his mustang :) These tires and rims easily retail for 3,700 bucks with tires and TPMS monitors and locking lugnuts.
God I love the look, looks SICK..
Specs of the tires and rims are:
20x9" Front with Michelin Pilot super sport 265/35ZR/20
20X11" Rear with Michelin Pilot super sport 285/35ZR/20

long time no see, lol what are you driving around these days??

Ohh here's some more mods i've done lately.. I was busy during all the christmas sales, probably scooped up another 4-5k of mods :)

I have been slacking lately and didn't take any pics of my latest "Appearance" mods So I'll include them here along with the others. These mods where done about 2 weeks ago.

1) Brembo calipers and rotors
2) CDC GT fog delete high flow upper grille
3) Roush lower grille delete high flow
4) CS foglights
5) Roush sidesplitters

Brembo Calipers and Brembo rotors

Installing the CDC Grille

Installing the Roush Lower splitter & Roush lower grille delete
What a major pain in the a$$ this was., For as much as I paid for these items this should be a direct bolt on application, not spend 5-6 hrs trimming and drilling, and fabricating this damn crud to work..

Front Shot

Roush sidesplitters

This friday I finally received the "Last Piece" of the BMR puzzle, so I decided it was time to install my plethora of parts that had been stacking up for the past 3 weeks or so.. :pepper:

Here's a ton of pics showing what was done and I thank god I had a friend to help me do this as this wasn't a job for a rookie on jackstands IMO.. having a lift made this much easier to do, and no way would've I attempted to do this without one.

Parts to be installed where:
1) ARH longtube header /w O/R X pipe ( they should just call this the "Demon coming outta hell pipe")
2) BMR K member
3) BMR tubular A-Arms
4) BMR A-Arms support brace
5) BMR radiator support chassis brace

Enjoy the pics..

ARH longtubes with ceramic coating

BMR goodies

Time to install the BMR and ARH goodies!!

Stock Collectors outta the way..

It's amazing some people can achieve over 440 rwhp on these ugly *** manifolds, lol

Swapping over the oem steering rack to the new BMR K member

ARH longtubes installed

If this don't look like the beginning of a badass racecar I dunno what does :)

Ok my first thoughts of the ARH longtubes with the O/R x-pipe along with the Borla Stinger catback was WOW!! It toally sounds like a "Pissed off Demon" bashing down the gates of hell to come wreck havoc upon earth.. Roflmwao.. Extremely loud but still refined and has absolutely the best sound I've ever heard on a mustang before in person.

Video of the first time I started the vehicle after the header install.. Camera was kinda close to the videocamera so it kinda distorted the sound a little but you can get the point it's f-in' loud!!

My thoughts on the suspension was it was definatly worth the coin spent!! It handles like a dream now, no more floating in the corners, you point it and it goes! It feels soo much more tighter and less bouncy, their is absolutely no harshness involved with doing the BMR K member along with the strange adjustable struts!! (set to the street setting)
Now the only drawback is their is a tiny bit of vibration in the floorboard and steering wheel, but I could honestly care less the benefits way outweigh the tiny bit of vibration. Besides this is going to be a racecar not a Cadillac.
Stay tuned for more Boost is coming..

Well finally got around to putting my stang on the dyno. Have added ARH 1-7/8 longtubes and o/r x pipe, e-85, and a AED tune since my last dyno and have picked up 50 rwhp in the process.

heres the comparison dyno graphs. Not really apples to apples since I didn't have the ARH headers or E-85 on for the bama dyno. All that was on for the bama dyno was borla catback, and JLT intake and bama tune.

but definatly gained a ton of power by switching to a custom tune with longtubes and e-85..

Next mods will include Cobrajet intake manifold Ford Racing Mustang Cobra Jet Intake Manifold M-9424-M50CJ (11-14 5.0L) - Free Shipping, Cobrajet oval tb which is located here: Ford Racing Super Cobra Jet Mustang Throttle Body M-9926-SCJ (07-14 GT500) - Free Shipping and lastly a McLeod RXT clutch McLeod RXT Twin Disc 1000HP Mustang Clutch 6932-25 (11-14 GT, BOSS) - Free Shipping
This should get me over 480 RWHP and If I was planning on staying n/a I'd get the Comp stage 3 cams but I'll eventually be doing this :)
Hellion Mustang Twin Turbo - Complete Kit 11-14 GT Twin Turbo Kit (11-14 GT) - Free Shipping

Damn it sounds goooood with headers! Looks like youre doing all the same mods I want to do. I love the way that Cobra Jet intake looks but not sure its worth the $1000+ it costs over the Boss. You know how much power its supposed to make over the boss 302 intake?

#23 ·
About 25 rwhp more than the boss with no low end tq loss, tuner has to do some cam timing tricks to accomplish this though. Hopefully I can get it close to 460-480rwhp with cobra jet mani and the rev auto 5" cai, and cobra jet oval tb. I want to do this cause IMO it looks sick with twins and cobrajet goodies

i no longer have cats on my car, Make sure you get a tune immediatly after taking off the cats though, you will need one. My car definatly sounds nice until you want it to piss people off by flooring it,lol It has a loud startup but within 10 seconds it quickly quietens down as soon as a little heat gets into the mufflers. What mufflers are you getting?
Long as you go with a AED tune he can keep your service engine light from coming on and will pass the emmissions . When I took off my cats i installed headers, and went to e-85 all at once just so i'd save money on tuning everything all at once.

#27 ·
I have the Bassani Street race axle backs, resonator delete and BBK Xpipe. I love the way it sounds right now. Ill run no cats for sure once I do LT headers, im just wondering if it'd be worth it to delete them now for a little more power and sound.

Im down to meet up. Ive been wanting to get out to Ennis and make a few passes. I just need to get some slicks as this car cant hook up for s*** now with the intake and tune on the stock Pirellis.

I have a mustang now too. Wtf lol. Mines no beast tho. 06 v6. Still got my T n still running strong

So excited the day has finally came. I placed my order over the weekend with Hypermotive for the Armageddon twin kit /w Garrett's GTX3076R series turbos. Motiva called me to let me know it was enroute yesterday :) Will be also installing a ton of supporting mods along with this.. Fore innovations stage 4 fuel kit, ID 1300's, ATI super street damper, MMR lower billet crank sprocket, MMR oil cooler kit, ARP headstuds, Boss primary and secondary tensioners, Trickflow stage 2 valvesprings, Fluidyne radiator, 1 step coleder NGK iridium plugs, 170f reische thermostat, N2MB WOT box and last but not least a T-56 Magnum swap!!
Probably take 2 weeks for my friend and me to install it all. Will be taking lots of pics along the way.

God this beast is going to haul some major a$$

#31 ·
You're insane...keep it up!

#32 ·
Today my favorite "Brown Santa" from UPS brought me all the goodies from Kooks portion of the Armageddon kit. All that I'm needing now is my Garrett GTX 3076r's :) All of the hotside piping will be going to the ceramic coater for a flat black or satin black ceramic finish. will be sending the appropriate cold side piping that shows to the powdercoater..

#33 ·
My Garrett GTX 3076R's arrived today.. These I selected with the .82 exhaust housing so I'd have minimal lag for the time being, once the motor is built, I'll upgrade to the 1.02 A/R exhaust housings. didnt realize just how crappy the photo was till i uploaded it :/ and the housings are already at the coating guy for powder/ceramic

#35 ·
Man you've been busy! I bet you love having the t56 instead of the mt82. How much power are you planning on making on the stock block?
