does the tranny and transfer case share the same fluid. wondering if there is a drain and fill on the tranfer case? Or are they seperate?

There is a drain plug on the transfer case as I recall. It's been a while since I changed it and if it was difficult to do I would remember the pain - so it must have been simple.

The transmission calls for Nissan Matic J (superseded by Matic S) and most Titan owners stick with that. Some have opted for aftermarket transmission fluid and I have not seen any negative reports on that. I have AMSoil synthetic transmission fluid waiting to be put in my Titan when I hit 30,000 miles.
