I am thinking of making my kids happy and coming out of the stone ages so far as my cell phone. I currently have a 2 phone share min (550) plan with the wife. We have identicle Samsung Convoy clam shell phones and do not text. With my corp. discount I pay $63.00 per month. I am with Verizon.
From what I am seeing to get into a plan with 2 gigs of data, 2 smart phones with talk and text I am looking at around $140.00 per month, more then twice what I am paying now. Does anybody know of a better plan to look into that would bring me in more like $100.00 a month? I would not be doing vids or music, just web searches, maybe facebook, maybe words with friends, and forum visits so I would not need a lot of data.(from what I understand) I would like to be able to start texting though.
Am I being unrealistic setting my limit at $100.00 per month?

Yes, you're being unrealistic trying to get 4 phones under $100. Having said that, do you have MetroPCS in your area? It's cheaper and monthly. Or VirginMobile? They're cheaper too.
I have Verizon. I have two SmartPhones with unlimited data plans, and two regular cell phones and I pay for the mobile hotspot for my phone. My bill is $220+ per month.

Bill, I am going to the Verizon store to sign up for that exact plan this morning - two new smart phones (Motorola RAZR M) with 2 gigs data. My wife won't use the data; I will use the Hot Spot option to connect with my laptop when I am on the road with no WiFi available. Verizon has the best coverage in the areas where I travel. Verizon has a good deal on the phones for the holiday season. The RAZR M will cost only $50.00 after rebate.
I pay $64 a month for my one I Phone after my 10% off company discout. I don't have text on it because I send very few texts.
