2006 nissan Tourqe converter solenoid swap

Has anyone ever change out a tourqe converter solenoid. Is this a simple swap out?

Are you talking about the torque converter lockup solenoid?
The solenoids are located on the valve body; the TCC solenoid is #7 in the attachment.

I appreciate your reply. My 06 recently decided it was not going to operate in reverse. To make the story short. I took it over to my local Nissan dealer. They diagnosed it with a bad transmission valve body, in short to replace upwards of 7K with labor for a new unit I almost The truck runs and shifts fine just sometimes it doesnt go into reverse or wont shift outta first gear. When it does this I pull over and shut it down. I turn the key to on and off a couple of times and it'll run fine. I plan on using it like that while I search for a JY unit. What are options as far as any upgrades I can add befor installing a new one ?

The SES has turned off ( hours after leaving the dealer) on its own with no repairs just dropping the pan and inspection and the tranny shifts flawlessly. Its been six days, I planned on driving it till it died. Guess im lucky for now. Gonna keep on rolling..

FYI. I helped a buddy swap out the valve body on his t last year that he bought new for about $350. Figure in 100 more for fluid and a day to do it in the yard. Pretty easy swap really.

Where did your buddy buy a new valve body for $300? I'm having issues with the valve body, 2 solenoids not functioning properly. I have a 2005 and I found a 2004 tranny & valve body for $300. Thinking of just swapping out valve body.

He bought his valve body for 300ish bucks at a local Nissan dealer down in datona beach FL. I snot know the exact dealer and he doesn't remember either.
I'm glad I talked him into us swapping the valve body for 300 or so plus fluid because his Titan had been down for almost a month due to him being unemployed but he was about to drop some serious cash on a new tranny from Nissan. It was gonna be over 2k I want to say.
