Replaced hood lift supports

I finally had something wear out on my 04 Armada. The gas filled hood lift supports lost some of the charge so they would no longer hold the hood up securely, especially in cooler weather. After looking around for the best price I bought new ones from an e-Bay seller. They were quite a bit cheaper than any others I could find.
The seller shipped then quickly (2nd day delivery) and they came in this afternoon. The seller provided very good installation instructions, and removal of the old units and installation of the new ones was very easy, less than 5 minutes. The new units were exact replacements, work great.
Attached is the link to the listing. If your supports are getting weak, replace then ASAP. Weak supports could let the hood suddenly fall closed, with a lot of force as I found out!

Thank you for the link, had the hood smack my head a few weeks ago.

I did the same thing for both supports a few weeks ago. I bought mine from Amazon for about the same price and had them in two days. I try to buy from Amazon rather than Ebay if I can because of the faster delivery time, and Amazon has always taken everything back I didn't like or couldn't use. The strong arm supports work fantastic. It took me less than ten minutes to replace both... Here's the link.
