Hi guys,
It has been a long time since I have been here. I have a 2005 Titan CC XE and it does NOT have the big tow package. I would like to buy a 26' travel trailer toy hauler that would exceed the 7400 lbs. load rating of my non-BT Titan. I would like to keep my truck instead of purchasing a new truck, so I would like to modify my truck to a Big Tow. I understand that I have 2.94 gearing and would like to change to 3.36 gears. I see that I can get them from various places on the web and they are manufactured by superior axles and gears. I also understand that I would need to get the speedometer recalibrated and that my cruise control will stop working. From reading in the threads I see that I can get an UpRev tuner and they can flash it for the 3.36 gears that would retain use of the cruise control... that is IF I have the ECU code for a truck similar to mine, but has the BT package. Furthermore, I do not have a transmission temperature gauge, so I would like to install one so that I can monitor the trans temps.
So I have a few questions that I hope you fine folks can help me with:
1. Can anyone point to a thread where this has been done before?
2. Does anyone have the ECU code for a 2005 Titan CC XE WITH Big Tow Package?
3. I was planning to follow this thread http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/topic/7463-a-pillar-3-gauge-pod-install/ to install gauges and gauge pods in in my truck...does anyone find anything wrong with this procedure, particularly with where the temperature sending unit is placed in the transmission?
4. Should I be considering installing a Tru-trac?
5. Should I install the PML deep transmission pan?
6. Am I missing anything?
Thanks in advance for any replies. I realize that some of the questions are subjective, but I value opinions with valid arguments. :nerd:
