as i prepare to replace my standard mirrors with big tow mirrors, i've read all the various posts about removing the door panels, however, i would like to know how to go about making the peel-off covering over the nuts/bolts holding the mirror on stick like new again. i peeled it back to take a look and now it won't stay stuck like it was prior to removal. any suggestions on adhesives? thanks
I'd recommend getting some new ones. You can re-use the old ones if you use a blow dryer to remove and install them, but eventually they'll start to pull away on ya. Mine are starting to do just that, but this is after probably 10 months or so. I don't recall the price, but they are pretty cheap.
Mine stay pretty well after re-sticking them, but I'm considering just removing them completely, and trimming down some black rubber stoppers to fill in the bolt holes.
