A leaking Power Steering hose is a common problem on our vehicles. Mine has been seeping a bit at both ends, not enough to drip, but always a film of fluid on the hose.
I ordered a new hose assembly from Amazon, consisting of the rubber section with fittings on each end and a steel section that goes into the steering rack. The assembly came with new copper sealing washers and O rings.
The steel line is almost impossible to remove from the steering rack without major work, so I decided to replace only the rubber hose section. There should never be a problem with the steel section.
This is not a easy job; its very hard to get to the fittings, but I replaced the hose this morning.
I took pictures of the procedure and will post a new thread on the procedure later.
I have attached a picture of the hose assembly.
