Do most of the problems occur with the e-lock engaged??? I have an 05 with 33k and no problems. Never had the e-lock on. I did change to amsoil 75w-140 at 1,000 miles.

I don't think the problem is as widespread as you think, while thier have been some issues the actual percentage of Titan owners having rear end problems if pretty low, its just that when people do have problems the internet sites is the first place you'll hear about it. I have the same year and model truck as you and havn't had any problems.

My Titan is in the shop right now for this problem. 35,750 miles, never used the E-lock! I do tow occasionally, though. The good news is that it blew this Sunday as I was towing a trailer home, and I was able to get home, it did not completely lock up. They are replacing the entire rear end, covered under the drivetrain warranty.

I haven't had any problems but have done preventive measures to prevent the rear end failing. Every one should look into the axle vent mod to save your rear axle seals from blowing out and if you have the money Truetrac.

I have an 06 with big tow and Elocker....mine is going in today for a new seal on the passenger side hub. When I talked to the service guy he said thats its very common among the Titans to have this problem.

Going on 3 weeks in a row taking my truck in to get fixed !!!!!

Yep and get ready to bring it back if you don't do the vent mod...I went in for 3 then finally did it and nothing since

04 XE CC 4x4 Original owner -Born 1/04, 59k Hellwig Helper Springs, Infinity QX56 Crome 18s, Rockford Fosgate P3s w/ 601s, Tint, Extang Tonneau cover, did vent mod after 3 axle seals no probs since.
