Well I finally ordered it today with the following specifications.
Overall length 16" (the flares account for 4" so the pipe I will replace is 12")
Center to center distance between the tandem pipes will be 6 -11/16"
It will be mounted 6" behind the back of the front side flanges that attach the muffler sections to the front sections of the system.
Even though the Nismo pipes are skewed somewhat, I believe the skew near the front to be minimal at a 12 to 16" distance and after speaking with the guys at Dr X, the told me it should flow well even with the short distance we are working with.
The other alternative would have been to let the exhaust shop screw around with it to get it right and I just don't think I want them adding any more pipe to the system so I chose the lessor of two evils.
If I would have spread out the distance more I would have had to contend with a greater skew and possibly angled connections or more custom pipe so I chose to shorten the overall length of the tandem instead.
Here is a pic of what I ordered and a video of how it should sound, yes it's a Ford truck but it has a good engine in this one, lol.
ooooooooooooooo no...is Papa gonna pull farther away from Pinoy, and farther from my tightening grasp!!! maybe another Track day is in the works once you get it installed, i need to do some logging and get custom tunes so i dont lose anymore ground to you...i'm not nearly as fast as you, but i've been catching up and cant let you leap away yet again....i gotta get custom tunes lol......congrats my friend i know you have been wanting this for a while....now once you get you Thrust Titan B-pipes you will be all set and running a 13.5 in Winter (also with a hotter track tune)

Yeah this has been a long time coming and I can't wait to get out to the track and test it out with you my friend.
13.5 is what I'm shooting for this winter in FST on snow tires and I will be thrilled to get within a tenth of that, lol.
You should be at the point where you will at least have a chance with a good light, all you have to do is catch me or Paul sleeping and you can put a notch on the steering wheel, lol.
ya i have a better chance with Paul...but being that i should be a 14.6 (i think 14.5 with custom tunes lol), if i can catch yall doing some serious snoozing i might could pull out an upset....i will be getting the b-pipes and headers all at the same time hopefully, i am currently saving for these.....i'm guessing i should get a 2.25 y-pipe while i'm working on exhaust
that sounds like someone saying they arent gonna be doing the racing thing as much...pushed it far enough? calm down? we can never go too far or calm down!!!! lol jk man, i hope your still gonna be racing a lot....i might calm down after headers, b-pipes, 2.25 y-pipe, 2/3 drop, performance tires, and hopefully some small mod will come out so i can hit a very high 13....then in a couple years, i'm gettin some Nitrous
ooooooooo ok.....wheeeew!!!! my tune was at 36 with my street tune, but my ecu was still learning...and my track tune was at 30.....i need new logs worse than a lizard with no tongue needs a gun...was that funny? i just made that saying up....maybe i should never say it again

It sure can't hurt and it will likely help by at least half a tenth or so. I figure worst case scenario my truck sounds cool and that's never a bad thing, lol
Seriously though I really believe it will and short of tranny mods or nitrous like you, I don't have a lot of HP left to gain but in small increments like this.
Scavenging is what it's about but how much that's worth in the place I'm putting the pipe remains to be seen.
The Xpipe should really go farther forward but I don't have a lot of choice short of major modification of the front section.
papa even with stock manifolds on my truck when i did the frankenstein exhaust i could deffinately feel difference and when we went to the track my 1/8th times werent too far off of what i was running in 38* weather so it had to do some good. i will say it leaned my truck some so you may want to go to a cooler tune untill you get some logs just to be on the safe side buddy. the x deffinately makes for an interesting sound thats for sure it may mellow out that nismo a little

Cool, maybe it will do more good than I thought my friend and if it mellows or smooths out the exhaust that would be great as well.
I am running a safe tune and it's a little rich but thanks for the heads up, I will run some logs after I get it. I wouldn't have guessed that it would lean it out and that's sure good to know.
