Thanks for giving me justification to do this to my truck. Ive actually TRIED this in a parking lot by unplugging the plug. Its a good thing I planned on getting tires. I got carried away annd killed my rear tires. It was too much fun. Expensive but fun none the less. Now I can tell people its a new stealth theft device!

It's an ANTI-THEFT MOD!!!};-)

This will help you visualize what's going on.

this is the wire now:

computer--------------------------------brake pedal

Your gonna cut the wire and install a switch:

...........................cut
comp.-------------{ }---------------brake pedal
....................crimp| |crimp
...........................| |
............blade conn| |blade conn.
........................switch

Where you cut the factory wire you will now have 2 wire ends. You will crimp the ends of the cut factory wires to the ends of the wires that you are adding. The other ends of the wires you are adding will go to the switch.

ALSO if you do the Radio shack switch, he will never see it.

For the Radio shack switch, use a 3/4" paddle bit and drill a hole and your switch will fit perfectly.

Excellent illustration... that should clear up any confusion as to how to do this mod.
