Here's a small video taken (graciously) by DITM. The video "slightly" illustrates the installation and then follows with a comparison between my stock horn and airhorn. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Your setup will pose some installation challenges.
An airhorn, thats great!! When I hear train horn, I think of coming up on someone on the road and giving some little car owner a heart attack with that horn!! If your horn is gonna be anything like the "Dixie" airhorn I had, you'll hear that sucker for blocks, literally !

i just started installing a airhorn kit today.... what a pain in the kneck it is trying to find a place to put the tank, compressor and horn
i ended up putting the compressor and tank under the back seat..... still haven't found a place to put the horn though.....
has anyone got any pics of where they placed theres??
hoping to have it finished tomorrow night, aslong as i can find a place for the horn
Do you have the same hornblasters as the other guys? If not, I have a pretty big triple train horn and i "wedged" it to the left of the spare close to the exhaust pipe. I had to drill a small hole in the bed to mount it but it fits. It's snug but I didn't have to drop the spare, which was important to me. I put my tank and compressor in the bed mounted to a piece of wood that slides along the utili-trak.
onebig: did you get pulled over because of your horns or or something else? I always watch where I blow mine, but didn't know that the ticket(s) were so hefty! I'll have to be a lil more cautious I guess!
