ok guys.. i have a flowmaster super 44 muffler but its not quite the sound i was looking for and it also has a very loud drone. i want something loud but with a Clean sound.
what do you guys think i should get? any other suggestions?
I personally like the Banks sound and the performance isnt such a huge deal to me so losing a few ft-lbs of torque doesnt matter. JBA is best performance wise but Borla has a nice sound to it. You could also get the JBA y-pipe and hook up the Banks and have a killer exhaust if you were looking for performance with sound.

There was a member that did a TON of exhaust research, and he found that mufflers with a DUAL inlet instead of a single made the most HP and TQ. Stillen exhaust, Magnaflow exhaust, and the Nismo exhaust make the most HP according to his findings. JBA used to, but not any more. If you own an '07 or newer, then you can just swap out your already dual inlet muffler for a magnaflow muffler for around $100.

Don't go with the Borla, I have it and I had to swap the dual in /dual out muffler with two glasspacks because it was very restrictive and quiet. I love the sound of my dual exhaust now. Here is a link to what my truck sounds like, I also have headers and high flow cats
The power and sound of a true dual 2.25" with a good Xpipe is exhaust heaven as far as I'm concerned, great performance and great sound, it just doesn't get any better than that. Nismo true duals and a Dr Gas Xpipe is the poison I picked, depending on your sound and power delivery preference, you may love it as well.

Other than a custom exhaust from Dr Gas or Burns Stainless, there is no exhaust I would rather have and it is gonna be perfect once I install the Xpipe.
These videos are with no Xpipe but I have it on order and will post some sounds in the next couple of weeks.
