When trying to explain how to reset the ECU through the computer doesn't always work. So I videotaped myself doing it so I could send to him. Figured I'd share the video link on here as well. I hope this helps someone.

will you lose your tuning with resetting your ecu?
No. I know it had been addressed before and the answer is no. I checked mine after I did the ECU reset. It will put you back in your stock map though, but all you have to do is switch it to wherever you want it to be. I guess this is more for people w/o osiris/cypher who throw codes and want to clear them. or if you don't have your laptop on you.

Not necessarily only reason but that is a good one. there is a list of different things you can do with it and that is done @ the same time but I only did that one the most.

Good Video. You should have added, If you have a SES light write down the number of blinks for the code thrown, before you hold down the accelator to clear them. Just my .02.

Yeah I thought about that. I never really worried about it because I knew the codes I was throwing.

The codes and how to troubleshoot them are in the service manual and/or there are online lists.
I always record the code two or three times and then look it up before clearing the code. Some codes are caused by temporary issues, moisture, that last mod, pulled wires etc. and after clearing do not return. Others (true problems) will return. And still others that cause a flashing engine light will not clear.
