The runs where we ran 10.1 and 9.9, we both spun through 1st gear. I spun all of 1st, shifted into 2nd, spun half way, then it downshifted back into 1st gear. You can sorta hear it in the video. Overall it was a blast!!
I am stumped though, I ran the EXACT same times as before my 24s and headers/manifold/tune. My truck runs the same no matter what! lol
Next week we are going again but this time I am running stock tires. Any ideas on why I ran exact same times as before? Don't ya think there would be some differences in trap speed?
Video's are being uploaded as we speak. Taken for ever though!! lol
That has to be very frustrating after adding Nismo headers and 07 manifold. The 24s were on your previous runs? I would think your time will drop considerably with the stock wheels on.

My previous times were with my Stock Wrangler SRA's and LE rims.
I'm hoping I drop times if I get traction with my stock tires. If I don't, I think my modding days will be DONE! lol Or I will drive it off the cliff next to the track :P
Yes I know whats going on. YOU HAD THOSE 24'S ON!! So you ran with stock tires before, tune, headers, and 07 intake, Now you got those mods and ran with 24's? Well those 24's are negating any gains from the new mods. I would estimate about a .4-.6 loss in the 1/4. I believe you would have been 9.2 or so without those 24's. Gotta get that 60' in the 2.0!!! LOL...those 24's being so heavy they are killing your trap speeds. Rotational mass is a total killer at the track

You will be fine with stock rims tires down to about 28-32 psi and try to have 1/4 tank or less of gas. Don't let your nerves get to you and make you stomp the gas, you have to VERY controlled with your foot and hit the gas just right, but not down to the floor. Put your most worn down SRA's in the back

What's so funny is it's the same EXACT trap, 60', and ET as before, lol...
Well, we will see next time...
I am getting some of exhaust re-done. 2.25"-3.00" Flowmaster Y-Pipe, and MF HF Cats being put on soon. So hopefully my trap speed increases and times lower.

Next week I will definately have less gas. I will be putting on 18s, not sure if I will switch out the fronts yet.
Will air them down to about 28, truck likes that. Yeah, I realized that even with 24s I still have to control it.
Another thing I have to remember is my before times were with 91 and a good tune. These runs were with 89 and my tune still needs A LOT of work, lol.
Don't leave those 24's on the front. You have worked to hard to get decent numbers out of your truck, see what it can do with all 4 stock tires so there is no "if's" or "but's" about it. It may not be the best weather as it is getting warmer, but see what she has all out. Also, you may lose more than .4-.6 with 24's. I'm betting you can hit a 9.1 or 9.2. Which in summer, guess what I run...9.0-9.2. You may have that truck where you want it now
