Hadn't really planned on going to this one but my Volvo buds have talked me into it. The thing that is gonna make this one interesting is the fact that I have stumbled across the Volvo that beat River Rat awhile back on 3/26/09.
River's remark about that race was: "Yea it was S/C Warps brothers. I bet him down the track but he ran 9.6 and I a 9.7. Whatever though it was still a lot of fun. Plus it wasnt as bad a that Volvo. they guy though he was so cool I wish I went against him the second time because I would have has him.lol"
Remember guys, Cali's not a Titan guy either so you wouldn't be going against one of your own if you ragged on him a bit for talking smack and then not backing it up. Regards, Eric
Hey guys, don't get bent all out of shape. I'm gonna be there hanging out with some other guys. Just wanted to let RiverRat know that the "second time" that he said he wishes he could have had with that Volvo can happen after all on 6/27/09 at Fontana. That Volvo ran a 9.71 that night BTW...sounds like a nice close race to me. Just trying to make River's wish come true and doing it here so that the rest of you can come and watch/support him too if you want. That's all. Just good old fashioned racin'. It's not like we are trying to dis-arm North Korea or to find Osama Bin Laden. Just trying to make River's wish come true.
I'm not that bad to have around. I'm noticing that several of you seem to really be enjoying the pictures of your trucks at the track that I turned you on to. I'm glad you like them.
I like a good race. Whether I'm driving or watching, a close race is fun! On that note, I'd like to invite Jgrace to run me on the 27th seeing as how I ran a 14.476 the last time I was there to his best ever 14.477. That sounds like a heck of a race to me. As close as possible in fact. Fun Fun Fun.
There's gonna be some old 8 valve turbo Volvos there, and a real 500E if any of you who still think my 400E is a 500E in 400E's clothing, you'll be able to see the difference up close. That Dakota R/T that is always there is down in the low 15s now. He's always game too. Just a nice fun day of racing at the track. I've noticed that ALL of you ALWAYS post after going to the track that you had a good time. Well, here's another chance to have another good time! So don't hate. Race! Chill, Peace, Regards, Eric
