Exclamation Code 0420 &-430 Cat problem

Hey I intermitantly get 0420 codes come up.

If I put premium in I get it.

If I run an injector cleaner I get it, and occassional it comes up at random times.

After resetting it stays gone sometimes for one or two fill ups.

It never comes up at the same point in the tank range say when Im running low.

The truck runs great with no obvious problems except this random code and a very occasional (first time yesterday) 0430.

Any Ideas? and any major concerns to worry about?
Thanks
Kris

Any time you're getting codes for the cats it's a concern IMO.
The cats could break up and get suck back into the engine.

Diagnosis Logic

The ECM monitors the switching frequency ratio of heated oxygen sensors 1 and 2.

A three way catalyst (Manifold) with high oxygen storage capacity will indicate a low switching frequency of heated oxygen sensor 2. As oxygen storage capacity decreases, the heated oxygen sensor 2 switching frequency will increase.

When the frequency ratio of heated oxygen sensors 1 and 2 approaches a specified limit value, the three way catalyst (Manifold) malfunction is diagnosed.

DTC detecting condition:

* Three way catalyst (Manifold) does not operate properly.
* Three way catalyst (Manifold) does not have enough oxygen storage capacity.

Possible cause:

* Three way catalyst (Manifold)
* Exhaust tube
* Intake air leaks
* Fuel injectors may be faulty
* Fuel injector leaks
* Spark plugs may be faulty
* Improper ignition timing
* Engine Control Module (ECM) program

Thanks I am going to take it in to the stealer.
Any suggestions how to get them to pay for it ?
Do you know If I am covered under the Federal Envoiromental protection thingy (Technical term that) on all vehicles after 1995 something to do with 8 years or 80k miles it's manurfacturers problem or so I have heard.
She's a 2005 with 77,000 on her she has an aftermarket exhaust on her cat back im fairly sure.

I believe you will fall under the emissions law. Manufacture responsible for cats for first 80k miles.
