So ive read through a lot of this and i think im more confused than before. My truck has 88k on it and was thinking about switching to sythetic. Any issues with. Mobil 1 5- 30 at 5000 change interval? Should i not go synthetic?

Here is a link to Blackstone Laboratories' June 2012 newsletter. In it you might find interesting the report on a '97 Nissan truck that went 122,000 miles before its first oil change.

I think I'm retarded I've been bouncing from syn to dino oil. I have 50k now and probably go back syn again.

What? Nobody gets their oil tested any more? Here is my latest test of my engine oil. I skipped sending in an oil sample for the last two changes which explains the large mileage gap.

Blackstone Labs July 2013 newsletter. They cover what they look for in your oil sample.
