Extremely dangerous truck

Got the crap scared out of me today. Took the new Titan out this morning in the rain. As I have 700 mi on it, I'm starting to use more throttle. Went to cross two lanes of busy traffic and gave it a dose of pedal. Rear tire/tires broke lose momentarily and then she shut down momentarily and then I had power again. Those split seconds I lost could have darned well caused an accident. Making a right hand turn later, I tried that again and got the same effect. Momentary cut-out and loss of power.

What's the point of all this BS technology crap?? You cannot have a vehicle operated by two brains and not have someone get killed!!!! This is stupid. I fail to see how this increases safety.

Does someone know how to disable this malarkey???

This habit is worse than drugs..............

If you have a VDC button push it to turn it off.

OK you wise guys. Yeah, I realize there is a VDC button. So any time I need/wish to hang the *** end out, I need to push in that button first. Jeepers, creepers!!! My '69 olds 442 never had that problem!! No, and I ain't gonna sell it. I'm stuck. Way too many boxes of mod parts sitting in the garage.

TrueTrac on rain, is even worse. Judicial use of power is the greater strategy.

An open diff, keeps one tire acting as a guide on slippery roads. The LSD allows both tires to break free with power, causing loss of control. Cornering on wet roads is tricky with an LSD. We simply have to go easier, there is much more power than needed.

My '05 Tundra 4x4 has real LSD and I've never had a prob keeping the arse end where I wanted it. Ice, snow, mud, whatever. Between the steering wheel and the throttle, it isn't hard to do. My '03 & '05 Tundra's all had open diffs and I MUCH preferred the LSD. Nothing worse than an open diff in the winter, esp at stop signs.

Nope, no '07 rear in the garage.

I do miss my TT in the Snow. Definitely better in that situation. But, I didn't like it on wet roads, particulary turning.

I agree that LSD is more of a benefit then not in winter, but you do have to be careful about accerating around curves becuase the backend will kick out easier which is why doughnuts are so much better with an LSD.
