After being a member of this site for a short time, it has become clear as to how much we all care for our Titans. Personally, I .ove my truck and am meticulous when it comes to it's upkeep. I have had Toyotas, GMC, Ford, etc... The Titan is head an shoulders better. Anyways, the purpose of my post is because of what I saw today. I saw some ding-a-lng driving around with the dirtiest, worst loking Titan I have ever seen. I mean this guy had long scratches all the way down the sides of the truck from driving through the trees! Mud everywhere, and the bed full of crap!!!! I mean it's everyone's business as to how thay take care of their vehicle, but honest to god, this really disturbed the hell out of me. It looked like this truck was five years old. Here's to all the people who represent the Titan the way they should. :p

LoL, sorry don't mean to sound like a wimp. I just don't like stupid people who drop a bunch of money on a nice vehicle then totally let it go junk. I always live by the old saying of "the way the vehicle looks says a lot about the owner."

It always amazes me how some vehciles get thrashed by owner abuse in a short time. I don't get the chance to wash my truck every week, but at least I'm not drving it over curbs, parking over the lines to get door dents, backing up into posts, or spilling orange drink all over the interior (j/k m4ck).

My wife gets mad because I park way out in the wally world parking lot. but its better than having dents all over the side of it. I agree that a truck should be used, and used as the owner sees fit. I know what ya mean about seeing abused new trucks though. When I used to hunt with my dogs, I bought a older truck just for that reason. I think I have seen the worst treatment of a vehicle there is when I was in the hunting woods. Where I work,I have seen more new trucks this year pulling flatbed trailers with a "woods truck" on it. Saw a nice Titan with a older model chevy on the flatbed just the other night :p

I do the same thing.

I usually take "Old Rusty" when I go to Wal*Mart, but when I go in my Titan, I park as far away from the carts as I can get.

When trucks are used for work it is very easy for them to get dirty, dented, scratched, etc. I used a company truck (F-150) for many years. But I had enough respect for the fact that just because I didn't own it didn't mean I could trash it. And clients don't always want to see a trashed work truck at their sites. I built it into my work routine to not beat up the truck unnecessarily. And now that I own my own truck, I am reaping the benefits of that.

I met a guy who bought a Titan as a work truck. He drives all over from site to site in it. Has to move materials and so on. I think then it's a little more tolarable to see that when you know the truck is used for work.
I was waiting for someone to mention the fact that some people do buy these trucks for WORK! Not the case with my Titan, except for an occasional side job, but I've sure run my share of work trucks and vans into the ground over the years, but hey.....that's what these things were originally intended for.....work!

I know what you all mean. I ran across a fellow Titan owner a couple of weeks ago at Lowes. He had a SE 4x4 CC, and it was filthy and looked worn out already. I spoke to him and asked him how he liked his truck. He loved it, of course. Kept asking me how old mine was, because if you've read my post on the subject, I keep mine spit-polished. He didn't believe that it was three months old; his was only 6 months old and looked terrible. I just have that dreaded disease...pride of ownership!!!

I hear you on the "pride of ownership." My boss brought a brand new Dodge 1500 (sucker) four months ago, and still has not washed it since the day he bought it. The inside looks like it's two years old and smells like a person went mid-evil with a cigarette. I just don't get it... Why drop money for a new vehicle if your going to just trash it? Like I said before, the way a vehicle, house, etc... looks, says a lot about the owner.
