That sucks, but at least it's getting taken care of! I hope it all works out for ya.
That, along with the fact that not only did I not have to make a fuss to get it taken care of, they seem to be being overly cautious in fixing it. I will wait and let them fix it right, rather then pushing to get it back.firecracker said:Hey, at least you found it NOW and not later!
what was the problem with your truck? how can i avoid that problem in mine? is this something that happens one in a millon times or many people started to have this problem? no sure what is the problem but for what i read it sounds badBiXLL said:Talked to dealer yesterday, and when he got the battery out, he found much more corrosion damage then what you could see. He isn't even going to try to save inner fender, has a new one orderd. I may not get my truck back untill the end of next week! He had to nuetralize the frame, seal it, and repaint, I guess it was a real mess! He said he has never seen a battery do so much damage in such a short period of time. Aren't I the lucky one? He is also replacing some bushings (I forget what he called them) that may have been ok, but they did have corrosion on them, so he is taking no chances.
Anyway, I had to cancel my dyno appointment, so the testing will be put off for a while anyway.
