On my way into work today I noticed a faint banging/thumping sound in rhythm to the tires as I turn right. It is more distinct the slower I go and less distinct if I apply the brakes. Turned the VDC off and it still happens. Sounds like it is coming from the right rear. Braking, handling, steering feels normal. I inspected the truck and can't see anything unusual, nor do I smell any unusual odors. Might take the wheel off when I get home tonight and have a more detailed look. I have a service appointment on Friday to have it checked out. Any ideas?

Just went and checked everything again and found that the left rear mud guard is loose and although it is not touching the inside of the tire, it is close enough that it has been touching it when the tire flexes or chasis shifts during turning (there are signs of rubbing on the mud guard too). I retightened it but it appears to be molded (or now bent) differently then the right rear mud guard and is still too close to the tire. I'm going to have them put a new one on. Truck will still have to go in on Friday for the rear safety belt recall. JetTech can add this to his loose bolts list.
