I have been running the Bullydog GT Tuner for about 6 months now on my 2010 Titan SE King Cab 2wd. The current settings I have running are Performance tune(high octane), Performance Throttle, WOT, No Timing Advance, and no other adjustments.

The issue I am coming across is my mpg.... in the city I will get anywhere from 14 - 16mpg(which is great) and the highway if I stay around 72 or under I will get 18mpg, but if I do 75 - 80mph I get about 14 - 16mpg and that is with cruise control set.

Is anyone else running into this issue? Is it because of the tune or are the Titans just like that on the highway?

Look at the difference in rpms between the two. Your probably 65 on avg on the low end, then 75 on the high end, which is a rpm difference of close to 500 rpms hense the loss of mpgs. When I break 70 i notice a big difference in mpgs. Stay at 60-65 and you will use alot less gas.

EastCoast, went and tested to see what RPMS I am running at that speed. At 70 im running at 1800rpms and 80 at 2100rpms, so about 300rpm difference. I know I didn't buy this truck for gas mileage, but was just curious, why its such a big difference in mpg.

I guess 300 rpms is taking in alot more gas then you expect. Put some 35's on then see what ya get! Lol Took me a tank and a half to go to SC. 650 miles. I used to get 19 hwy, then with 33s 17hwy and now 14.5. But thats what the nav says and its off by 3 with the 33's and 5 mph with the 35's.

That is one thing I never took into consideration were the 33" tires I put on the truck. Lol. That may explain a lot of things with the mpg.

I have a stock 2010 crew Pro4x. I get about 12-13 around town. If I stay below 65 on the highway I get 18 to 20 mpg. But if I am above 70 I can't get over 16.5. Went on vacation to Bradenton Beach Fl last week (525 miles one way) and I averaged 15.5 for the whole trip. I am planning on getting the same tuner but I hope it does not give me that kind of hit in mpg's.

Similar to my 08, SE, 2wd, CK, FFV, BT. On several long trips I reset the dash gauge on relatively level Interstate and would run about 10 - 15 miles with the cruise at 50 = 22mpg;55 = 21 mpg; 60 = 20 mpg, 65 = 19 mpg and 70 = 17.3 mpg so for some reason that last 5 mph cost me almost 2 mpg instead of one. Needless to say I usually put the cruise at 65mph. Perhaps mine is worse due to the BT gears which probably hurt a bit at higher highway speeds.

Thanks everyone for the input, I retuned the truck the stock and am going to see what I am getting, right now its still about 16 at 75. Really no difference.

Just like EastCoast stated those extra RPMs make a difference.

sh I could get those type of number for mileage.. I have been running a CAI w/TBS since 07 and added the bully dog GT in early 2010.. My 06 CC,, 4x4,, with B/Tow will get 11-12 for my average driving..

the gearing has a lot to due with mileage,, I also wonder what those big mirriors do for the wind resistance.. Just thought..

Yeah the big tow mirrors probably don't help with the whole "aerodynamics"... lol

HI ! i would like to buy a bullydog gt tuner, but i don't no how many HP
i can get from that ! my titan is a 2007 thanks !:scheibe-big:
I have one up for sale because I am putting a lift on my truck and don't need both a lift and a tuner. Unfortunately I am only selling to the U.S., but to answer your question, I never got my truck on a dyno with the bullydog installed. The difference was very noticeable with and without the bullydog tuner. One thing Nissan does is restrict the throttle on the Titans from (i believe) 2005 - current models from 0-40mph, therefore you are losing a lot of power. The Bullydog allows you to remove that feature and boy what a difference.
