So I have been looking all over for a video, picture, or forum explaining how to get the dashboard off and passenger airbags so here it is.
Get small baggies for screws and label the bags. Trust me it's worth the time.
Remove the glove box from the bottom.
To pull the radio out the bezel is just clipped in. Use a small flat head so you don't mess anything up.
Unplug everything as you go.
When you get to the nav screen there are 3 plugs on the back of it. Also a small speaker on top of it. Mine broke Bc I didn't know what I was doing but it has 4 screws holding it to the mesh above the nav screen.
Unplug the negative battery terminal for this next step if you haven't already.
The passenger airbag has 2 bolts and 2 power clips. To remove the clips (they are yellow and orange) use a small flathead to pull the black clips downward. Then unsnap the clips.
The vents for the defrost just pop out all in one piece. The sensor for the light is connected on the passenger side. Unplug it and remove the whole vent.
Then you will have 2 bolts under that sensor and 6 bolts (3 on each side) holding the dash down.
Once you remove that you will have to remove the shifter knob and front part of the center consol. You can pry the 2 pieces that hold the lower part of dash (where your chargers plug in) without having to take out the whole shifter bezel.
The whole dash will then come out and if you're removing the air flow actuator just remove the plastic tubing for the far right passenger vent and you can then access the actuator and change it.
I hope this helps anyone who had the problems I had without this post.
Anyone with info on how to not break the nav vent can you post here. It would be helpful.
