I read a couple of posts about dyno results for the Titan. A question I have is regarding the HP and torque numbers. The numbers posted by members here seem lower than what Nissan advertises. Did Nissan inflate the numbers for the advertisments?
Dyno numbers posted by Nissan (and all mfgs.) are number derived by checking at the crank. For us to do that, we would have to pull our motors out. The dyno numbers you see us posting are what we are getting at the rear wheels. When you compute the 20 to 25 percent loss from driveline, the numbers Nissan post are VERY conservative, in fact, they are probobly a bit low.
