Talked to Flowmaster today and they are about 4 weeks away from releasing their exhaust kits for the Titan. They wouldn't get into specifics as to which series would be available, just that they were wrapping up the R&D and getting ready to start initial production.

Any idea of the approximate cost?
I didn't ask and I doubt they would have told me. I would expect it to be in the range of the kits they sell for other full size trucks.

The first Flowmaster exhaust kit for the Titan is out. Dual outlet (side or rear exit), 70 series muffler, retail price of $660.99. I guess I will be waiting to see if I can find it for wholesale price somewhere. Here is a link to the system: http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/cgi-bin/flowmaster/17406.html

Acting on tips that the Summit Racing web site may be selling the Flowmaster dual cat-back exhaust kit for ~$409 with free ground shipping, I decided to give them a call. The guy I talked to didn't know whether or not the FLO-17406 part number listed on their web site was for the Titan (it was a recent entry in their computer system with little info). He said if the Flowmaster web site shows that the kit's part no. is 17406 then it should be the dual kit for the Titan. Even though Summit Racing is currently listing it as a back order item shipping after 1/15/05, he was able to set me up as a special order for a direct ship from Flowmaster. It will still be only ~$409 with free ground shipping and if Flowmaster has it in stock it will ship out in a few days. He is going to call me back on Monday and verify that it is for the Titan. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'll post on this when I know more.

 That's why my fingers are still crossed until I hear from them again on Monday. And they'll stay crossed until I figure out how to respond when my wife tells me "...you spent $400 on what?"

If they had this ready back when I had my exhaust put on its what I would have bought. Wasn't much out then though. To have that setup as a bolt on would be great. No cutting no welding. If you needed to you could bolt the original right back on really easy if you needed to take it to the dealership for some reason. Thats also cheaper than any of the other cat backs I believe. Much better than the original price of over 600.

I received the Flowmaster cat-back exhaust kit today. I've attached the parts list, diagram, and install instructions so people can see what parts it comes with and what the installation would involve. Bought it from summitracing.com for $417.34 with free shipping (they actually had it shipped directly from Flowmaster to me). The retail on this kit would have been $660 plus ~$73 for shipping (Nor Cal to So Cal). The muffler is a 70 series (single 3" in - dual 2.5" out).

I'm scheduled to take my truck in next Monday to have the body work done from my accident a few weeks ago. If I can resist, I will wait until after I get it back to do the install and take pics. I will also plan on making a sound clip of both the stock exhaust before I remove it and the Flowmaster exhaust after it is installed and broken-in.

Guys, let's say you ordered the new exhaust kit from Flowmaster which includes the 70 series muffler. Later, you decide the muffler is not loud enough. How easy would it be to take the 70 series muffler off and replace it with a 50 series?
