Does anyone know where the fuel filter is on the 2004 Titan?

Looking in the service manual the only fuel filter I see is in the fuel pump, which is inside the fuel tank. The tank must be removed, then the pump to get to the filter. :x

I'm not a mechanic, but that seems insane to me. Maybe that's just Nissans way of making sure their service dept's get some $$$ for service items. I don't know, but every car/truck I have ever owned had the fuel filter in the engine compartment!!!!

Be very carefull if you are thinking about installing a fuel filter. You can't install just any filter in the fuel line. The pump on injected engines puts high pressure, and if you were to install a cheap inline filter it could fail, and make a big expensive bonfire!

about 90% of the vehicles sold today only have 1 fuel filter and it's in the tank. The reason it's in the tank is that's where most of the fuel pumps are mounted, and you want the filter before the pump. The reason the pumps are in the tank is they run a lot cooler when they are submersed in liquid, and being in the tank isolates a lot of the noise and vibration caused by an electric pump.
