You saved...35 bucks and installed it yourself. You lost the larger towing compacity, and you had to install it yourself. Personally I would have gotten the OEM just for 35 bucks more.rcflier97 said:I bought my aftermarket hitch (Curt) for $105 before taxes. It was a 15 minute install (6 bolts). I had to buy the relays (got them for $35)(5 seconds to install) from the dealer for my trailer lights. Also had to buy the wiring harness ($16)(4 Pin) 15 seconds to install. It is a CL III hitch designed for 5000 lbs. It is more than enough for the towing that I do ( a party barge and a bass boat). I saved as much as I spent by not buying OEM. E-mail me and I can give the place that I bought the hitch from.
Wow, that dealer wanted to rip you off. They aren't that much. $190~waldo said:I bought my class 3 hitch from Uhaul for 120.00 installed. The dealer wanted 400.00 for an OEM hitch.

What dealer did you call? Nissan? The hitch and relays come in one box, so all that should be included in the $230. Be careful from the place you got your tool box, you will still need the relays from Nissan, and that is $30-40ttammunek04 said:Called the dealer down here. They wanted $230 for the hitch and $80 for the relays. Called the place where I got my tool box. $221.00 for Class 4 and that includes everything. Wiring, and installation. Sounds like a good deal to me.
