I see that no one has posted here since the end of September. I for one am a STREET TRUCK junkie who's not into 4x4's. Nothing wrong with them; it just ain't me. However, I do not care for the "slammed" look, either. My previous truck prior to the Titan was a 2003 Chevy S-10 LS extended cab with the ZQ8 sport suspension package. Basically, an Extreme without the ground effects (and the extra $4,000.00). It had the Vortec 4300, auto, limited-slip, 3.42 gears, 16x8's with 235/55-16's and was factory lowered 2 inches. An absolutely outstanding little truck! There's no better V-6 out there than that 4.3, which to the informed is the 350 with the @ss-end cut off. Anyway, I am extremely proud of my Titan!! Ya have to remember that it's a brand new model, so it takes the aftermarket a year or two to start getting their goodies from the drawing board to the store shelves. I'm waiting on Hypertech to release a Power Programmer for the Titan (soon, I hope), and eventually someone will develop a set of long-tube headers that will be affordable. Last I looked, JBA wants almost a grand for their ceramic shorties. Bottom line, I've been fortunate enough to own one true muscle car in my life: a 1968 Formula S Barracuda (340, 325 HP, 4-spd, Dana 60 with 3:65 posi). What a sweet machine! Our Titans boast 339+ cubes, almost matching the horses, and there ain't much out there that can compete with these trucks right out of the showroom. I just love a big, mean-sounding truck and the impression it makes on people. Of course, if I could find an excellent example of my all-time favorite car (the '69 Z-28), and if I could afford it, I might get back into the street car scene. For now, I'm happy to engage the stealth mode in my big truck and leave dropped jaws in my wake!
