I can't believe none of you are proud of your Titan's

I figured this section would be hoppin with guys wanting to show off their rides all pimped out. If I don't see anything happening in this section in the next week I will get rid of it to help clean up the look of the Forums. If you don't think this section is needed just let me know. Same for the 4X4 section.

I think this section is needed, just not now. Odds are against us for those that want more of a street truck than a 4x4. Not to mention that there isn't much out there for our trucks besides offroad / 4x4 parts. I say merge both sections for now then split apart if need be.

Don't make me hurt you!!!! LOL JK

I have been trying to get the 4x4 section going. I see people are viewing, just not posting.

PLEASE don't take my 4x4 section away!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to see it stay. I personally think that the titan needs to have another production year or more before you see more posters and new members to the forum in general in this section. I'm not an expert or claim to be,but being a former owner of trucks that were somewhat street custom (lowered suspension, ground effects, custom wheels, etc),and a former member of another truck forum,I can say this; Before I traded my s10 in for the titan I researched for aftermarket parts for the titan and found very few. I concluded that there were no parts that I was interested in widely available. To me, this ruled out custom altering of the truck. I think as the aftermarket custom parts become more available, mainly drop suspension parts, you will see a surge in posts and new members in this section with radical custom trucks. Probably very young members too, especially when the titan has been in production for awhile and the used ones are affordable to those who couldnt afford a new one. Speaking for myself,I dont have any aftermarket mods on mine.....yet, so I havent posted in here. And to all that do have mods, be proud and show them off in here. Oh, and also keep the 4x4 section for k9 :D And Josh, if ya want, you could move my post "lowered titan" in here where I should have posted it in the first place 8)

I see that no one has posted here since the end of September. I for one am a STREET TRUCK junkie who's not into 4x4's. Nothing wrong with them; it just ain't me. However, I do not care for the "slammed" look, either. My previous truck prior to the Titan was a 2003 Chevy S-10 LS extended cab with the ZQ8 sport suspension package. Basically, an Extreme without the ground effects (and the extra $4,000.00). It had the Vortec 4300, auto, limited-slip, 3.42 gears, 16x8's with 235/55-16's and was factory lowered 2 inches. An absolutely outstanding little truck! There's no better V-6 out there than that 4.3, which to the informed is the 350 with the @ss-end cut off. Anyway, I am extremely proud of my Titan!! Ya have to remember that it's a brand new model, so it takes the aftermarket a year or two to start getting their goodies from the drawing board to the store shelves. I'm waiting on Hypertech to release a Power Programmer for the Titan (soon, I hope), and eventually someone will develop a set of long-tube headers that will be affordable. Last I looked, JBA wants almost a grand for their ceramic shorties. Bottom line, I've been fortunate enough to own one true muscle car in my life: a 1968 Formula S Barracuda (340, 325 HP, 4-spd, Dana 60 with 3:65 posi). What a sweet machine! Our Titans boast 339+ cubes, almost matching the horses, and there ain't much out there that can compete with these trucks right out of the showroom. I just love a big, mean-sounding truck and the impression it makes on people. Of course, if I could find an excellent example of my all-time favorite car (the '69 Z-28), and if I could afford it, I might get back into the street car scene. For now, I'm happy to engage the stealth mode in my big truck and leave dropped jaws in my wake!

Hey Salt,I had a 2001 Xtreme extended cab fleetside....with the 4 cylinder  but it was good on gas, and I put 50 miles a day on it back and forth to work 8) I was considering drop spindles and a v-8 before I traded it in on the Titan, but I concluded that it would be juat a waste of time and money. If I hang on to this one long enough, who knows what will happen
They were good little trucks, weren't they Deest? I hated to give mine up, but I'm getting to the age where I figure my Titan will possibly be the last "hot rod" that I own. I intend on keeping mine until it just can't go no more (or Nissan decides to build a competitor to the SRT-10). I hear ya about a V-8 in the S-trucks. The Bowtie boys really missed their chance with the Colorado; they could have dropped the 4.8L SBII in that truck, along with the ZQ8 and/or Extreme package, and they would have had a real hot rod on their hands!!! I've been wondering what's going on with Chevy ever since they killed the Camaro..... Perhaps one day it will return as a retro, like what Ford has done with the Mach 1.
All in all they were good, mine had some electrical issues, but it was a nice little truck. I always got complements and stares . I fully agree, they did miss the boat on a bigger and better power plant in the colorado. It had a lot of potential and chevy could have corrected design flaws they learned from the s10 Yep, it would have been nice to hang on to, but I just couldnt afford it at the time. But the idea of a custom Titan does sound appealing, doesnt it  The day they do bring the camaro back, I hope they do as good a job as ford did on the mach 1 8O I'm not a ford person, but man what a ride 8) Oh, and yes I was starting to look out of place in the s10 with my gray hair shining in the sun, I was outgrowing the mini truck scene
I hear ya about the gray hair! Mine is getting that way fast. It's cool, though. No Greecian Formula for me! BTW, whereabouts in FL are you located? I spent 16 of my 20 years in the Navy in Jacksonville (Mayport).
I am located about 140 miles north of Tampa and 100 miles south of Tallahassee on the Gulf coast in the town of Old Town. I spent some time up there in your neck of the woods in Fernandina Beach when I worked at the Interstate 95 Inspection Station on the Fla/Ga line from 1989-1997. I had friends in Jax, so I went by Mayport many times. And I also avoid the Greecian myself, My wife says it makes me look "distinguished"
I know exactly where you worked; drove by it many, many times. JAX was just getting too big (crowded) and I can't deal with the heat (no pun intended!) much anymore, so that's why we picked up and headed west. Time for a change; was born and raised on the east coast and spent my entire life there, except for (8)6-month sightseeing trips to the MED courtesy of Uncle Sam. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who chooses to grow old naturally, if not gracefully. Good on ya!!

marlo27,
if your interested in lowering your back end there is a spring helper kit for $22 that improves traction, cornering, bumpy ride, and it LOWERS YOUR BACK END 3/4 inch. it doesnt sound like much but will help get you lower and better ride. there is a thread posted in the mods section under "best 22 bucks you can spend on your truck" check it out and tell us what you think.
