I bought my Titan shortly after the $1000 rebate on them began. GM was at $3500 at the same time and it was very hard to look past that $2500 difference. Fiscally speaking, if it wasn't for patient price reducing negotiation on my part combined with the Titan rebate, I may have ended up in a Silverado. So I see myself as proof that rebates can sell vehicles and influence buyers.

rebate

I feel kind of lucky then.My dealership offered me A 2000 dollar rebate. I took the rebate because I had A trade in that was 1500 bucks below what I owed on it. I hope that they will not take the rebate away it was A big part of makeing my truck payment lower.
That was not my decideing factor that was just an extra bonus that I had no idea they offered.
Hope they keep the rebate in effect. Lord knows every honest worker out there needs A little extra help..Just my two cents

I don't think I got any rebate on mine, my wife bought it for me while I was still overseas. I do know that with tax included we payed about 4k under MSRP and actually under what they say is dealer invoice. Considering the taxes were over 2k, I think we got a pretty good deal.

Ok I actually read the article this time and I pretty much have to agree with everything the guy said. I think the rebates and 0% financing have gotten a little out of hand and will end up hurting the auto industry.
